Between the 35 bucks shipping to Canada, and the really bad exchange rate, no buying from me... the strong US dollar is definitely hurting exports to this individual...

Very nice! I really like the way the lights show in the bokeh, very interesting.

I recently made one transaction with Quickndone and one with Prodigital2000. They both ship out of Stratford ON, and both boxes I received identify the sender as Carman's Foto Source, with the same address (257 Monteith Ave). It seems pretty clear they are the same, but Prodigital2000 bills as "402424 Ontario Limited" and Quickndone bills as "2254062 Ontario Limited" - or at least they respectively did in my single transaction with each of them. So it's possible they're not legally the same company.

Return FA 35mm F2 if you can :-) Otherwise, you might still want to buy FA 31mm later...

That is a great deal. And another nasty temptation. I managed to stave off the 31 on sale at KEH last week.
Can I do it again?
I ONLY WANT THE FA31, I DON't NEED IT...I ONLY WANT THE FA31, I DON't NEED IT...

All the lens kits for the K-5 IIs were discontinued a while ago, but there will be deals on the K-3 lens bundles come Thursday.
The free flash is until the end of the day today, AFAIK.

You're not a real Pentaxian until you get your first Pentax DSLR and go, "What the hell is that?" Congrats!

-focus: the foreground seems sharper. Don't rely on hyperfocal or zone focusing. And the distance scales might be miscalibrated.
-diffraction: the f-stop is fairly high, so that might affect the sharpness (or rather, ruin it). Try staying under f9
-in-camera developing: if you shoot jpeg straight from the camera, the camera does the processing for you. Sharpness and contrast settings play a big role here
-SR: what focal length did you input? Its usually better to input the wider one than the longer one. 12mm instead of 15mm, so the SR undercompensates rather than overcompensates. I usually have SR disabled when shooting with this lens anyway
-shutter speed, handshake: I get the sharpest shots with my 14mm with the tripod and 2 sec timer. Its an UWA, but handshake still plays a big role. You need to learn how to hold it and how to press the shutter
-UWA: its an ultra wide, so every object and detail out there will cover a much smaller pixel area than longer lenses. So a 14mm will not render the same amount of detail that a 35mm or 50mm lens might, but it will capture much more of the scene.
To test sharpness, set the lens to minimum focus and take a photo of a slanted newspaper, come in closer and closer until the middle is in-focus. Set camera to Av mode, wide open, low ISO and 2 sec timer. Use a tripod or at least place the camera on a table, shelf, something. Review the photo, and see which part is actually sharp. You will notice a distinct DoF with blur before and behind it.
The main issue to watch out with such UWA lenses is lens decentering. And general QC, like calibration of distance scales and such.

One advantage of the ultra fast Samyang 16mm F/2 is its almost stop action capabilities in the dark. Sharpness and vignetting are well controlled in this full aperture test in deep twilight. Eight seconds at f/2 using ISO 2000. Visually, the sky was much darker than seen here. My copy seems sharpest from f/2 through f/4 and very good from f/5.6 to f/8. Uniform sharpness is great by f/4. True infinity is right on the mark and was set manually for this shot. Night Contrail by Nightfly Photographic, on Flickr
