He he... Funny. I was given the same sears 135 2.8 about four months ago. You just pointed out to me that it will work in (A)P mode! I'll have to use it a bit more now. Thanks!

"After taking a picture and hearing the mirror drop back down there is a soft static-y noise that lasts until the picture is displayed for review."
pentaxNasson,
I am going to guess you are hearing the "dark frame subtraction". Check it out. My K100ds emits a noticable fizzing noise during and after longer exposures. You should hear nothing at higher shutter speeds. Hope this helps!

All taken with either M 28 2.8 or M 50 1.7(which I bought off Jay!). I also enjoy my M 135 3.5.
Btw, Hello to All as I haven't introduced myself or posted much around here.
Got the K100D Super from my Girlfriend for Christmas and have been learning photography.
Not learning quickly I would say, but having fun along the way.

(From another beginner...)
That would be ACR that opens when you attempt to edit a PEF file. You can tweak all the settings your camera would tweak when shooting JPG, then either open the file or convert to DNG.
My question related to this is, from ACR can PEF files only be directly converted to DNG? It seems that conversion to JPG has to wait until the file has been opened in the editor.
