"Nefisa".

I took this photograph of Nefisa after meeting her while taking a walk by the lake in Toronto one evening. Nefisa is a woman from Afghanistan who entered into Canada as a refuge several years ago. She told me of her past hardships and expressed how grateful she is to be living in this great country of Canada where she feels so free.

I was walking around with my Pentax K5 and an SMC 50 f/1.7 lens.

Many of these photos could have only been taken with a totally weather proof camera/lens combo! As you all know, a trait Pentax is famous for.

Cheers to all!

Hi all,

Here's a portrait I made of my son Benjamin a couple of years ago.

Shot with a Mamiya RB67, 127mm Sekor C lens, Tri-X 320 asa film, developed in D76 and scanned on a Nikon 9000.

Thanks for viewing!

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I am really enjoying the Pentax k5 and limited lenses! I was a Canon shooter for many years, mainly because it was easy to adapt my Zeiss and Leica glass for that mount. The K5 sensor coupled with Pentax glass is second to none!

Hi fellow Pentaxians!

I am a new comer to this forum and find it very well put together. I have roamed the Marketplace in the past, just to see how equipment is priced in the used market.

I am the proud owner of a Pentax K5 camera and an assortment of Pentax lenses; DA 35 macro limited, DA 70mm limited, DA*16-50 zoom, 50mm M 1.7, 200mm SMC Takumar.

I look forward to spending much more time at this site and contributing when I can.

Cheers,
Carmine
