My very first camera was an OM-10. Such fond memories. Never realized, until now, that I'd ALWAYS been a Pentax shooter. I'd felt so guilty inside, thinking I'd been contaminated by handling some other brand. Thanks for enlightening me!

A few years ago I bought the BC-700 and gave my eneloop charger to one of my kids. Very happy with the BC-700, and don't miss the original charger at all.

Lightroom 5.7 opens my K1 raw files. I use DNG format. Are you using PEF?

and fun fact: where I currently live, in Ithaca, there is not a single place that processes film on-site, all pharmacies send it out...
Woohoo - another Pentaxian in Ithaca!
[The lack of film processing in Ithaca drove me out of using film years ago. I miss film, a little, but not too much]

Even simpler, if your dad uses apple's mail program to send you email, is to choose the "small", "medium" or "large" options for image size. Compared to "actual size", each of these options reduce file size, to varying degrees.
Apple's mail allows you to choose these options whenever you attach a photo. And the choice of size isn't hidden in an obscure menu - it appears in the mail window itself.

FWIW - a better experience to report. I ordered a 31mm limited from the pentax webstore on Nov 28, around midnight. On December 2, I received an email that the lens had shipped. That same day my Paypal account was charged.
The tracking number in the email was useless; it kept telling me that UPS had not received the package.
So, I called the webstore today. They assured me the lens had shipped, and when they logged into the UPS site, were able to tell me the lens would be delivered to my home (in upstate NY) today.
A few hours later, the lens arrived.
Why, oh why, do I think I'll be taking lots of pictures with it this weekend? :)
