I hope this is the right forum?
I've a birthday coming up and I would like one of two books. The first one is:
Photography: The Definitive Visual History - Tom Ang
Masters of Photography - Reuel Golden
Can you tell me which would be the better one to choose?.
Each book is suppossed to tell you all the photographic greats from Fox Talbot to today. If not please can you recommend a book for my expertease that would teach me about the history of photography, without being too boring, and the greats like Ansel Adams, David Bailey, Francis frith etc?

Who did you buy the v5 from? Maybe you could get a refund or a discount towards version 6?
I got it from the Cyberlink stand, is there a trial version of six I can download before trying?

Hi I hope this is the right forum. I'm a bit fed up because I have bought Photo Director 5 at the photography show, I haven't opened the box yet but I've now discovered that the software has been superseded by Photo Director 6. I have also now been told I could have got it free from Practical photography, which I didn't know about. I thought I was getting a bargain, well I guess not.
Can anyone tell me if there is much difference between version five and six please?
If there is, I'll buy the newer version and sell the unboxed old one.

What causes a blood moon?

Apparently while men were on the moon their guts floated up inside them, no wonder they were sick. It also apparently smells dreadful on the space station because when they wash, they have to use wipes because water floats in a blob. The toilet is like a vacuum cleaner and we is recycled back into drinking water. YUCK!

Apparently space is a noisy place to be. I wouldn't want to visit the moon because there's nothing up there, except dust and craters. The moon was created 4.6 billion years ago, I wonder if the almighty would have looked up and seen it?
The Moon is moving apparently 3.8 cm away from our planet every year. Does that mean we'll have weird weather in the future? Apparently there's earthquakes on the moon caused by earth's gravitational pull, oh well I'm being boring. have a lovely Easter all :)

I don't mean to be rude but that is really silly! It doesn't matter what make of camera you have, so long as you get the pictures right. My friends wedding was shot with a Pentax, this ridiculous attitude that you have to have a Canon or a Nikon before your taken seriously is rather stupid. It really does wind me up when people say to me 'you won't get anywhere without a Nikon, blah blah'. I probably don't get taken seriously as a car driver because I have a Mini, when In reality I should have a Farahri? Cecil Beeton never had any of this posh gear.

I'd check E-bay as well. Bit cross with them at the moment, my friends house was burgled and they took her aunts watch and put it on E-bay which was irreplaceable, We contacted E-Bay who wouldn't do anything about it so we got the police involved. They say they don't sell people's bodies parts on there but after this it wouldn't surprise me if they did. I'm convinced E-Bay is ran by crooks but never mind.
