Thanks for replying, the mount seems ok and certainly no appearance of damage but understand it would not take alot to misalign, I am going to reset the camera tonight and have another go with the fine adjustment. But fairly sure its something I cannot fix.

Hi
I purchased a used K-1 from ebay, with a shutter count of around 10,000, I have used the camera for about 3 months, its been ok, not great and definitely not what I was hoping for having come from a K3ii, I sold my K3ii to finance the K-1, the problem is even with great lighting, mid range f stop on both the lenses I use Pentax 24-70 f2.8 and an old Sigma 70-200 f2.8 on close inspection I am not achieving the sharpness I did with K3ii. I tried the fine adjustment and currently both lenses are at +10, they could probably doing with being at +12 but that is not possible. I used the traditional methods of checking focus with a ruler at 45 degrees etc, and tried the DOT method suggested on this site, which is effective, but on each lens if I manually focus and then switch back to auto the lenses re-adjust, if I use the full 33 points to auto focus maybe a third will highlight, but by slight turn on focus I can have many more highlighted.

I cannot really afford to send camera away to be investigated, but wondered what forums member's thoughts were if I reset the camera, to original firmware etc would that likely have any effect or any other suggestions would be appreciated. Camera focuses sharp in live view, diopter is fine, and both lenses on previous camera were super sharp.

Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to reply, more than a bit out of my depth with this problem, so I will get on ebay and look for the adaptor suggested.

Hello,
I hope there is somebody who can help me, and that I am posting in the correct forum, My good lady was aware that I wanted a vivitar series 1 lens, to fit my K5, but she rather than ask particulars thought she would surprise me with a great xmas gift, well to her delight it arrived today, and as it looked so good she thought she would let me see it and get it setup for christmas day photos.

Well the lens is immaculate with case and caps its a

Vivitar Close focusing auto zoom lens 100-300 with 1.5 telephoto, but to my dismay it comes in two parts I am guessing first part is some kind of adaptall fitting(vivitar TX),but I can't get it to fit the lens or my camera, the lens will not fit straight on either, I have had a quick google and it would appear to be for a canon (C/FD), is there anything I can do to fit this lens to my camera, really do not want to disappoint her after she had gone to such an effort, any guidance much appreciated. P.S please excuse pics, from phone.
