Phantastic discussion, and many thanks to Kobayashi and UMC !!! Coming back from the journey, isn`t it easiest than to buy a setup of bellow and copier which is complete as an unity ?
When buying the M42 bellow pus slide copier, I need an M42-K adapter to adapt the K1, correct ?

Maybe, the point is, I have the Pentax Bellows unit III, and I have a Pentax slide copier, and they don`t fit together - there is no mechanism to mount the slide copier. The description of the bellows unit III on this forum says, that it is not designed to work together with the slide finder. So the question is whether I have to buy another bellow, eg an earlier version or whether there still is a way to work around this.

Beside of this: on my slide copier, ther is no strip / pole /flange (https://www.ebay.de/itm/184712318862?hash=item2b01b64f8e:g:NowAAOSwY0BgT3iP vs https://www.ebay.de/itm/254810246730?hash=item3b53dfce4a:g:fEYAAOSwkYpf2qjt >>> see : https://www.ebay.de/itm/124703863596?hash=item1d08edf32c:g:XQ4AAOSwXxVgjDze >>> the part to fix the copier on the Bellow system is missing. Do you think with the pole it would work ?

Yes, I know the traditional setup. Therfor the question: there is no way to work around the bellows - I suppose no.
And the other one: Bellows Unit III officially is not compatible with the slide copier as mentioned on the review side - so there is no way around this either ?

Hello,
1. Is it correct, that there is no way the Bellows Unit III can be connected with a slide copier ?
2. The slide copier always has to be mounted on a bellows system, or are there ways to work around this ?
Thanks for suggestions

Very nice in terms of perspective, leading lines, some use of rule of thitds. I am not completely sure whether the placement of the head is optimal, or a bit too close to the upper border of the photo, but I think it`s o.k. I also like the raindrops contribution to athmosphere.

Thank you for your reply. I have a K1 with the Limiteds and a lot og Vintage glass pluss 2 Voigtlaenders SL1. I have an incredible offer to by th 645z with a huge amount of lenses, around 25-30 prosent og normal retailing price. But I am heavily amateur, still. That is the background for the question. Stefan

Dear all, has anybody experience concerning how the 645z with lenses as as system compares to the K1 system (not just the camera, since there seems not so much difference in terms of resolution)

thank you, Stefan

DA 55mm f1,4 AF performance on KP

Concerning the critics about the AF-performance of the DA 55 f1.4 like `slow`, `not relalable`, `low keeper rates`, `back- and front-focussing issues` - are these issues as much relevant on the KP or does the AF perform better on this body ?
Thanks for joining your experience/knowledge. Stefan

Thank you Adam, I live in Bergen, Norway. I have sent an email til Ole (your mate from Copenhagen) with the question about where I can get it checked somewhere close to here. When I get the focus nailed and get the right exposure (got it now many times), it is fantastic. Thank you for your advice

Yes, the other lenses function normal. I just found out, that the underexposure on the K01 is not consistent, sometimes it exposes correctly, but it never reads the 300mm and ir reads aperture down til 2,8, though it`s a 4,0 lens.. My KP is with my girl friend at the moment, so I cant doublecheck right now..

well, I just bought it. It was used on a KP without any issues (as has been told), and the seller confirms that the contact worked well on his camera. The price was heavily reduced due to the change in AF mode. The optics itself appear flawless.

DA 300 mm with screw drive AF, Camera doesn`t detect focus length

Hi,
I got a DA 300 mm f4 which has been changed to screw drive AF. The Cameras (KP, K01) don`t detect the right focus length. The KP detects 42 mm, the K01 27 mm. KP overexposes around 2 stops, the K01 underexposes around 1 stop. It reads the aperture with 1 stop to wide open.. Does anyone have an idea about what can be done about this ?

fog / haze inside a lens

Hello,
the seller of a high quality used lens writes in the description of the condition of the item: there is a tiny bit of fog inside the lens which does not affect the image quality. What does this mean, and in case it is a handicap, can it be repaired (easily) ?
Gratefull for your coments.

Contax G lenses adaptable to Pentax K ?

Hello,
My question is concrete about compatibility of the lenses of the Contax G system with Pentax K. I have found information about how to adapt the Contax/Zeiss SLR lenses, but nothing about whether it is possible to adapt the lenses of the G-system: Biogen 21 mm, Planar 45 mm and Sonnar 90 mm. Thank`s for help, though I expect the answer being negative.

Hello,
Ì am a new user. I just wanted to ask in general about the characteristics of the old manual lenses (primes) in comparison to the more current lenses in terms of image quality, color rendition, contrast. There are lot`s of really nice shots done with old lenses on this side, so is the quality as close to the current lenses as it appears ?
