Nope, just tried it and still have the fringing on the right side. Gonna go try taking a picture with my other camera: K5 and make sure there is nothing wrong with my software.

I used to shoot in PEF Raw but with the new K5 II, PEF files aren't compatible with everything yet. Just for kicks, I am going to shoot in PEF and send it right to Photomatix. See what happens.

When I process a photo in Photomatix the picture has a thin, purple band along the right side of the photo. This never happened with my K-5. I used Raw PEF with my K-5 but I shoot in Raw DNG with my K-5 II. Could that be the problem? Does anyone have a solution? Right now, I have to crop the photo to get rid of the purple band. Also, the purple band is not on the raw file. It only appears after processing in Photomatix.

New to site. Just upgraded to K5II, didn't know there was a K5IIs. Oh well. Having problems with RAW files. Was able to upgrade all my Adobe programs to read files but the Apple ones won't open the files. That means iPhoto and Apple Finder are useless with Raw files from K5II. Anyone have a fix for this? If not, anyone have a clue when Apple upgrades their stuff? I know K5II is new.
