Buying in Japan from Belgium (where I live) will almost always bring import tax and VAT (on the good + shipping), so the gain would be none to marginal.

On the directional pad at the back, push on White Balance (WB).
There you can access the different modes and adjust the default settings for each.

The Super A has no provision for double (or more) exposures. The only way to do a double exposure is to press the rewind button and keep it pressed while advancing the film wind lever.

The 50 f/1.7 is a M series lens but the 135 f/2.5 and the 500 f/4.5 are K series lenses.

Indeed, that’s the version I got in Belgium in 1979. Makes sense since the K1000 was the entry level of the K family (K1000, KM, KX, K2). I don’t remember whether the body only was available.
I still own this K1000 with that lens.

On the K7 there is a “mute” setting in the image parameters that I inadvertently activated once. It took me some time and much worries to find out what happened (was the camera defective?).

It could also be an issue with the mirror resting position.
Check the condition of the damper in the mechanism.

You may want to contact NSB Tekunos at this email address: n_toshiyuki0616@kmj.biglobe.ne.jp
That’s how I got the confirmation that my A*300 mm f/2.8 jammed focus ring was serviceable (English is ok).

Hi,
What I experienced with my K7 and a K 300mm f/4 manual lens is as follows:
With the K7 set for AF with focus priority, the shutter will not trigger unless the lens is in focus, which behaves like a “catch in focus”. Since the focus confirmation should not depend on the type (M42 or Kxx mount) but only on the phase detection of the AF system, it should work with the M42.
To my opinion of course.

55 mm is definitely not a wide angle lens, not even on a full format sensor.
Wide angle in full format would be 28 mm and less, meaning 18 mm and less for an APSC.

You really need a wide angle lens to get such a wide field. With an APSC camera I would suggest a 15 mm prime lens. Such as the HD DA 15mm/f4 limited.

To remove vibrations from the mirror and shutter you can apply the following astrophotography trick:
Program the shutter for a 30 s long exposure.
When ready to shoot (focusing achieved, ISO set), put a cardboard in front of the lens, trigger the shutter without removing the cardboard, wait 3 s to allow vibration dampening, remove the cardboard an count the number of desired seconds for exposure (less than 30s), put back the cardboard in front of the lens and wait until the shutter closes. Other option is to use the B setting to keep the shutter open (with a remote control device).

Seems different in Europe.
Seen on another forum that the warranties are transferable within the min. 24 months period.
The warranty should be on the product, not conditioned by who bought it.

Some mirror lenses have a kind of Barlow lens integrated in the optical path at the exit of the mirror.

I never did it, the amount of taxes, VAT and processing fees from local post services would simply add 30% to the item price (living in Belgium).
I had my A*300 f/2.8 repaired in Japan but only because I add no other option but using it as a decoration.

I once deleted the pictures in the SD card of my K7 from my computer, after saving them and reinserted the card in the body. Later, while taking pictures I found that the back screen indicated a very low number of remaining JPEG shots and I soon couldn’t take more shots. Later I formatted the card in the body and everything turned back to normal.
Deleting the picture in the body also seems to work instead of formatting.

Is there a program line set for sport photography? I see that the shutter speed is 1/5000 s.

Thanks, what I meant is that the back button for focusing is the best choice to apply the procedure I described because there would be no need to keep the shutter button half pressed. Apologies if it was not clear.

You can use the AE lock button. Focus on the face (link AE to AF must be off), then recompose towards the sky (if the AF is achieved with the shutter half pressed check that you are in AFS mode), lock the exposure with the AE lock button, get back to the face (or keep the recompose) and trigger the shutter. Back button for AF is the choice to avoid keeping the shutter button half pressed when recomposing.
Depending on the AE metering zone (spot, centre weighted or matrix), the face will be more or less underexposed.
