I expected to find some photos of this occultation.
Mars is the small dot in the upper part of the image, just one minute before occultation.

Just another photo. I have not had time to process my photos, but want to show something.
Pentax KP, WO apo telescope 81mm f/5.9, mounted on Astrotrac. 478 mm f.l. ISO = 400, 1/125 s. Seen from Smiths Ferry, north from Boise. Excellent atmospheric conditions.

I have found it excellent for short focal lenghts (up to 50 mm). I do not have an opinion for larger FL.
Saludos from Mexico.

I also like this lens for astrophotography. It is rectilinear; not fisheye. Here I posted a comparison.

I used a Baader Semi-Apo filter and iOptron SkyTracker for a 180 s exposition.

Sunspots were more impressive than eclipse itself. :)
In addition to the ES telescope, I used a Herschelīs wedge (Baader) and a 2X barlow (needed to reach focus).

I had planned an astrophoto session, but I found the sky illuminated by two enormous moving reflectors from a nearby town. Then, I decided to register that light pollution feast. ISO=800, 240 sec, mounted on an ecuatorial head. |

This handsome 1937 Buick Special was owned by my family. I found it in an expo and had chance to take this photo as never before. I used a Pentax K5 and a DA* 16-35mm f/2.8 zoom.
