I don't know what happened? I started out with just one Minolta SRT-101 and then they just started to multiply! Yes they all work. 2 were sent off for a CLA and next month I'm going to send off the SRT-202 just for good measure. DSCF4730 by frankweiser, on Flickr

I sent off two of my vintage Minolta SLR's to Garryscamera outside of Chicago Illinois for repair service and within exactly one week I received both back in pristine working order. Each camera cost $70 for a CLA. I originally paid $38 for the Minolta XD-11 and $58 for the SRT-101 which included a 50mm 1.4 lens. So $128 for a CLA'd Minolta XD-11 and $108 for a CLA'd Minolta SRT-101with 50mm 1.4 lens. He fixes most brands so be sure to check out his website for specific models. Do you have an adapter to see how they perform on a digital camera? I've been having fun adapting Canon FD , Nikon, Olympus, Pentax and Minolta to my Fuji X-H1.
The Canon 35mm F3.5 is exceptionally sharp.

Do you own the Fuji 90mm F2.0 as well? ---------- Post added 04-23-24 at 08:27 AM ---------- Fuji X-H1 with Nikon 80-200mm F2.8 BNSF 1 by frankweiser, on Flickr

Thanks for your observations. I had the Fuji 27mm f2.8 but sold it due to it being a more “flat” look although it was a nice sharp lens and originally was the reason I left Pentax for Fuji. Do you have a preference between the 23 and 27mm Fuji lenses? ---------- Post added 04-22-24 at 09:50 PM ---------- Curios if anyone has used the Pentax FA77mm lens on their Fuji system and how did they like it?

This lens could replace my Fuji 14mm f2.8 and my 35mm f1.4 plus give me a little extra zoom. I have the Fuji 90mm F2.0 which I will never sell. I thought about getting a Fuji 23mm F1.4 but not sure what to do......

Oh....I'll just buy an X-T5 when I'm ready. So far my XT-1 and X-H1 are working flawlessly. So I'm plodding happily along :)

The backup light on the Super Pentax Program is but a small dim bulb. It works but it's not super bright.

That looks horrible. I would return it as well especially for $35 dollars.

Yep. The Pentax Program Plus was my first ever SLR camera. I recently picked up the Super Program Plus but honestly I really don't use the added features like Shutter Priority. The Program Plus works just fine.

It's kind of funny hearing all that you've gone through testing different vintage lenses because I have been and am doing the same thing LOL. My observations are identical to yours. You know at the end of the day almost all lenses are good and the average ones equal the great ones just stopped down 1 click or so. The Holy Grail of "pick whatever focal length" average lens under a couple hundred dollars is just not there. They all seem to be equally good (when stopped down). Unless of course you're testing some $5,000 to $10,000 Leica lens but at that price point I'm outta the game :)
Are there some turds out there? Yea of course but most of those are off brand El Cheapo's like Albinar :) The worst teleconverter I've ever owned for 3 dollars :)

That's good to know. Thanks for saving me the trouble looking for one. I have some of the vintage Canon FD lenses and they are sharp as well.

I agree. I've been testing Pentax vs Olympus vs Nikon vs Canon vs Minolta in both 50-55mm and if you add just one stop from their minimum aperture they're all really sharp and nice looking. The only Exception was my Nikkor 55mm F2.8 but only because it was a Macro lens it was sharp right out of the gate. Even the 28mm Lenses were similar. I did however prefer the Olympus and Pentax but that's just subjective on my part.
