Pentax FA* 28-70mm F2.8 AL Asking Price
$1100 AU Item Location
Melbourne Australia Item Description
Hello Pentaxians, I have for sale a Pentax FA* 28-70mm F2.8 AL. I am the second owner of this lens. I bought it from a forum member a little over a year ago and It's in very good condition. It comes with both caps, hood and a hoya super pro1 hmc filter (Japanese not Philippines type). Everything functions perfectly and smoothly, no oil on blades and the powerzoom function works well. The silver parts of the lens had black tape covering them when I bought it and since I have removed them so it has been well protected. There are a couple of very minor scuffs and parts where the tape has not been completely removed, apart from that the lens is in great condition. I'm only selling it as I am just back from my travels and need money for a car. I'm asking $1100au +post. I'm in Melbourne Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Hey all, I have recently purchased a takumar 135mm f2.5 bayonet lens for my k20d and I cannot make it work. Using manual setting the 'F--' just flashes. I have used alot of different m42 lenses with the pentax adapter on this body and my k100d in the past and haven't had a problem. I have no idea what the problem is here as the lens seems to be functioning normally. Any ideas??

Thankyou all for your input, Chocolar and Craftmansky I think your right about the background. There is a corrugated fence there which would explain the lines.
Peter, yes I did crop the first shot down how did you pick that? As for spot or multi point focus I’m not sure what you mean. Thanks for your advice Peter, looking back at the photos now I see what you mean. A little more work in framing would have also paid off. The last shot was taken by a fluke, I was trying to take a pic of a small flower in the grass when my dog did a jump and roll right in front of me and I snapped it. Though somewhere around f2 may have turned out better

Hey all, I'm relatively new to this game and would like some advice / constructive criticism on these photos I took of my dog last weekend. I have a k100d and was using an fa 50mm 1.4. The last shot was taken on 1.4 and seems to have vertical lines in the top centre. Wondering what causes that?

Fair enough, Yes I almost always use manual focus. I just figured it was a fault as none of my old lenses or primes do it. Thanks for your responses :)

I bought a new lens today, a sigma 70-300 apo dg. I know its a low end consumer model but since I will rarely use it I couldnt justify spending much more on a zoom. I also own a crappy sigma 28-80 that came with my camera, Which I use quite regularly to massage the arch's of my feet. Both lenses focus past infinity which is annoying. I dont care about the foot massager but Im not happy about the new lens suffering in the same way. Does anyone own a sigma zoom that does this? Id be more interested to know if anyone owns a 70-300 apo dg that doesnt so I can take mine back and not put it down to a design fault
Cheers, Druitt

That is cool to know they chose a pentax for those 5 frames of glory. On but sort of off topic has anyone seen or taken any photos in old prisons with white flashes thru them? I visited an old convict prison at Port Arthur in 88 and there was a handful of photos with white streaks or smudges thru them. My father went revisited the place ten years later and there was a wall full of them. Kinda creepy but interested to know if anyone has taken any

Hey all I've been a fan of this forum for a while and bought a couple of new lenses going on the data base reviews, which have been very handy. Im currently using a k100d and would like to utilize my old collection of pentax lenses. I bought an ebay adapter but realised that I can't focus to infinity.
I need an adapter that sits the lens flush against the mount
So my question is... Which adapter is the one to get?
Cheers, Druitt
