I've been looking after kids at a summer camp these past few weeks, and brought my K30 along. Initially I was using a cheap F35-70, but fairly recently acquired a DA 16-45. What I really like about the latter is how close the focus can get, no matter what focal length you are using. Them kids like to get up close and personal once they catch me raising the camera to my face.:)

Huge fan of the A 50mm/1.7, it is the mainstay lens for my K01. Absolutely adored the portraits I've taken with it.

Afternoon all,
Selling off some lenses I stopped using for various reasons. All are perfectly usable however. Prices don't include shipping, but no PP fees. Make an offer on multiple items, I am open to negotiation.
Pentax K01 (body only)
First owner, just under 7000 shots, black and yellow! Only selling because I've finally upgraded to a proper DSLR. Also includes cord, OEM battery and 2 Wasabi batteries and charger. $220
SMC Pentax-M 28mm F2.8
Decent lens, but I was not very good at using the 28mm. Again, lens caps not original, but very functional. $40 SOLD
SMC Pentax-DA 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL
Only used once or twice, bought second hand, but in excellent condition. Almost brand new. Includes hood, original lens caps, all paperwork and box. I just prefer the speed of prime lenses. $30 SOLD
SMC Pentax-M 50mm F1.7
Great lens, small scratch on the front. Front lens cap has chip on the side, tiny scratch or dust on front element, but lens itself takes excellent photos. Just upgraded to an A version. $40 SOLD
Sigma 17-70 F2.8-4.5 DC Macro
Bought second hand off original owner, used for maybe 4 or 5 outings, but it didn't do it for me. Clean glass, minimal wear, great walkaround. $200 SOLD
SMC Pentax-A 28mm F2.8
Again, could not warm up to 28mm focal length. Lens caps not original AFAIK. This one includes a Hoya Skylight (1B). $70 SOLD |

Thanks Allie, I had a 50mm prime and didn't want to be too conspicuous since he really did seem a bit pained. It was a spur of the moment shot really, but turned out fairly well. I will make sure to compose better for future shots.

I'm still very much a beginner, but found this photo to be one of my better shots. I know there must have been something I could have done better; any comments or advice is greatly appreciated.

Yep, comes with the territory I've bought and sold plenty of other items on other forums, and have received messages of a wide variety of people. Most are friendly, some more blunt, and a few downright unreasonable.
I recently joined up to buy some lenses to go with my brand new K01, and could thus be considered slightly suspicious. Fortunately, I'm a bit more seasoned on forums and know that before posting, getting a feel for how the place operates and how members interact with each other is vital to being a part of the community.
