More Canadian Trip Q: (or more generally, money exchange best practices)

Well, I do not think you need to leave a note.
I travelled in USA, Canada and elsewhere around the world.

My method
Every morning, I roughly pull the sheets and leave the tip (the «*note*» ;) ) on the pillow or at the feet and that’s it. And everyone is happy. Make it obvious for them to understand that it’s for the room cleaning staff.

I wish you a good time in the west side of my country.
We were supposed to travel there, but the COVID began just few months before our trip. We didn’t had a chance to plan it again since then.

You can also put mirror in up position and visually inspect the sensor a little bit (easier if you have a cleaning kit that lit the sensor with magnifying glass). Also test different speed shots (and check aperture lever, with different aperture shots).

I have never done stacking, but may be you had blur due to windy (outside) conditions or slightly vibrations of the subject.

Thanks for this find.
This will definitely be a guy I will follow.

I was I one of those who always try to keep the lowest iso as possible.
Even if my (amateur) photos are good/ok, I this this will lead me to better results. :)

Something else to think about…
Where was your point of focus? On an object located :
  • On the center?
    On the left?
    On the right?

Downloading the electronic version of the user guide and doing a search for key word like «*back button*» should get you real close.
Good luck.

Even if all are very nice pictures, I maybe wrong but a lot of them do not seem to respect the theme of «*storm*».
But still, tough choice to pick only one.

Emergency procedures card, can you tell what it is?

To me, seams to be : «*do not carry luggage*».

It’s easier to zoom the image (with my fingers on my mobile) than zooming the actual card to see that picture shows a luggage on upper left top part and a person at bottom right.

Welcome abord.
I, too, like the 40mm XS, for it’s compactness and image quality for “that” cheap.
Enjoy your new system.

Rectangular lens possible?

TLDR;

I can’t imagine doing fine focus adjustment, focusing or zooming with a square/rectangle lens barrel.
That’s not going to «*roll*» as easily (as a circle). ;)

Not mentioning that the (front) rectangle lens might end up been in vertical position at some point.

Poll: Misc Poll - Do you like HDR photos?

Personally, i think a picture is supposed to represent what you “see”.
To much treatment (post processing) does not represent what’s in front of the lens.

I understand pp is, somehow, enhancing the result, and sometimes necessary, but too much is too much.
For me, HDR is too much most of the time.

Why someone would want to see all the scene, while on earth, there are shades and shadows which give character? :hmm:

Good luck with sale.
The OS is doing an amazing job as we can reduce speed under the focal length rule (less than 400) without blur (with some limit, of course :o).
I really like mine.

I made a similar request (to mods) few months ago regarding those who post a one word non meaningful title.
This is soooooooo annoying (and lost of time) browsing to posts I would not even consider reading.

Thanks for being on the same side. ;)
