Some shots on the fly while we were out on the boat. I'm still learning some of the ins and outs of this camera, I'm no expert by any means. That weather proofing is sure nice when boating. Kind of bothered me to see that coasties head in the beam path of the radar.

New Pentax user here, just got my K-30 yesterday. I used to shoot a lot of 35mm film back in the day (30 years ago) and have several K mount lenses from then which i had been told in a camera shop were useless on modern cameras, so they've just sat for several years...
The wife and I were both ready to move up to a DSLR and I did a lot of research, was leaning toward a Canon when I decided to research those lenses some more, ended up here. Once I started adding the K-30 into my research it became apparent that not only was it a solid choice but with my old lenses compatibility it became even more of a high value purchase.
So, I have some old skills to relearn, some new ones to learn and a lot of fun in the future with my new camera. The wife wants to sign up for a photography class, sounds like a winner to me as the whole SLR thing can be daunting to get started. I hear the shutter so she must be practicing on the cats again, that solid shutter sound brings back a lot of memories for me.
