I have three Pentax Limited lenses for sale, and also a DA 16-45mm zoom.
They are all excellent performers (at least with my *ist DS), and have been very well taken care of.
No scratches on optics, no oil on blades, minimal dust inside.
They all come with their original boxes & accessories (caps, etc). All prices are net - include PayPal fees and shipping to continental USA.
Reference: epic64 on eBay (100% rating with 25 transactions)
I live in Los Angeles, will consider local transaction.
I would rather try to sell within the US, but PM me if you are in interested and
live elsewhere. FA 77mm Limited:
Mint- condition. There is a little dull mark by the '22' digits on the aperture ring, you can see it on the pictures.
Made in Japan. I actually purchased this one in Tokyo, just before they started carrying black Limiteds in the USA.
Another one of my favorites, nice creamy bokeh.
Asking $650. FA 43mm Limited:
Mint condition. Couple of marks on the metal lens cap.
Made in Japan. One of my favorites, with excellent rendition.
Asking $500. DA 21mm Limited:
Mint condition, gives nice contrasty images. No focus issues with my camera.
Asking $385. DA 16-45mm:
Excellent condition.
Gives great results.
Zooming action could be smoother, but it is what it is in this class of lens.
BTW, the picture looks a bit distorted, it's what happens when you try to do
a macro shot with a non-dedicated macro lens. :)
Asking $240.

Not true about just Zeiss just being a 'brand name' in this case; the lenses might not be manufactured in Germany, but they are still designed and spec'ed by Zeiss. So this is what counts (and I'm sure they are built pretty well). Again, have you heard about Contax??
You make it sound like they just re-badge some Tamron lenses (this is what Minolta and Sony have done with some of the cheaper lenses). So you might not like the look, the price, or the offerings of the Zeiss lenses, but that's not a reason to put the brand down.

So much dis-information... what would make you think that the Zeiss branded lenses are not designed by Zeiss? Even if they are manufactured in Japan (like they were doing with Kyocera with the Contax line) they should be superb.
I actually think that Sony is coming out in full force and will take over Pentax for the third spot. They seemed to languish for a while, and suddenly, boom! Three entry-level DSLRs (with a pretty neat looking live-view system in the A300 & A350, at least on paper), a mid-pro with A700, and a full frame, image-stabilized camera coming out (I like the bulging penta-prism!). A line of full-frame lenses like the Zeiss 24-70 f2.8 also gives them a lot of cred.
I'm sticking with Pentax for now because I love their compact primes, but I'll keep an eye on Sony. The live-view system on the A300 could be pretty neat, I hope I can try it out someday.
