This is a native fisherman of Colombia. Every February millions of fish swim up the Magdalena River to spawn.
Fishermen are waiting for them with their nets which they cast from narrow canoes. The nets are weighted with lead and not easy to cast and at the same time keep their balance in the canoe.

The photo should have been taken around 5:00 p.m. with shadows and more saturated color and with something in the foreground to give the image more depth.

This is the 17,000 foot active volcano, Nevado del Tolima, not far from where I live in Ibague.
It is a magnificent mountain located in the central range of the colombian Andes.
Taken with a pentax super program with pentax 200mm lens in the late afternoon.

I'm new here and very happy photographing the beauty of Colombia with my k-7, da 16-45mm and da l 55-300mm.
I have photographed Colombia for many years using a Pentax super program from the desert of the Guajira to the Amazon. Awesome country but you have to keep a sharp eye out for the guerrilla fighters.
