Hello manntax,
oh yes, they are there! They are these bonded faked birds on the windows which should protect the buildings from the pigeons ... this is not a PS/digital manipulation, they are really there exactly in the position I captured them.
It is a capture out of a window at Kunsthalle Wien, Museumsquartier (in the former royal stables of Vienna).

Hello manntax,
Thanks for the long and detailed review of my photography.
I would like to say the following about this:
the picture was taken in hochbewachten downtown area ( museum district ) in a historic building system , so there is also no graffitis, but the surveillance cameras and the fake birds , which serve to deter pigeons .
My idea behind the picture , it was also less to show an urban depression, but rather a feeling of control and confinement , but my idea was not the prison itself, but just the feeling of control, also symbolized by the bar , the surveillance camera and the headlight system . As I said, the fake birds are used there to deter pigeons , the building is Baroque ( a court in the earlier royal stables in Vienna).
Of course, the feeling of control and the associated limitations with depressive feelings are connected , but it's a little different nuanced concept.

Hello, I am Wonderer1000 from Austria, Vienna, I am new in the forum and want to introduce me a liitle bit.

I studied philosophy and German language in the Eighties, in the nineties I worked as an accountant (certificated, I passed the college of Wirtschaftskammer).
Now in pension I am interested in photography and art.

It is not so long time that I started to photograph seriously, now I am having a Pentax K30 as my equipment. I am very happy with my camera (only in the moment
not so much with the weather, the camera resists the weather more than me https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.png).

I hope to meet here a lot of other members (perhaps even some who have the same camera).
