Hi
I am looking for a wide-angle lens for my K5II for a forthcoming trip to Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, China and Kyrgyzstan) - I came across your post from 2012 and wondered whether you had found a wide angled lens and how you have found it?

Thank you - I'll be using the lens with the K5II - do you think there will be any significant difference using the lens on this camera body to your K3?

A 'special' birthday is looming and I've decided to treat myself to a new lens!! I've spent a lot of time looking at reviews and threads on forums regarding the DA 70mm vs FA 77mm Limited. From what I have read image quality/style is a matter of personal taste to many people, however I would be really interested to hear from any owners regarding their experiences of auto-focus speed on both/either lenses - my plan is to use the lens for taking informal shots of my young children (most likely moving around!) both outdoors and in. Many thanks :)

Have any K5II users any experience with the 77 1.8 limited lens please? - I am particularly interested in it's autofocus ability as my purpose in buying this would be documenting daily life of kids (moving!) indoors. Many thanks.

I am struggling to make a decision on a lens for taking indoor pictures of young kids - fast movers, low light scenario!! - I was just wondering if any Pentax users have any experience of either of the Pentax 31mm f/1.8 FA AL Limited or Sigma 35mm f1.4 DG HSM Lenses for this purpose? Thank you :)

Don't be afraid!!! - just get it out and start using it!! I got my first DSLR - Pentax K5II with 18-135 lens a year and a half ago and I love it - the picture quality was a massive improvement from my bridge camera!

Hi VisualDarkness - I only speak school girl French. We went as part of a small group tour so it wasn't a problem but English was not widely spoken and menus/signage etc were all in French. In rural areas we had to get a second local guide as the languages spoken there were not understood by people from outside the area.
