I have never been overly concerned with size and weight of my camera gear and though the 645 isn't a walk-around cam, I would most certainly have it with me on vacation trips. There was nothing more frustrating when I found myself in Tuscany with nothing more than a pocket-cam for documentary style shots while my DSLR was sitting back in the hotel room. I missed some phenomenal opportunities and I vowed never to do that again.

I’m new to this forum but I’ve been on the sidelines for a while due to my interest in MF. This new 645D 2014 has me so excited that I'm willing to go into debt (within reason) to have it. If it's under $12k for the body, then I would use my current rig as a pocket cam' and be as happy as a clam!

I don't own the Pentax yet although I believe it will be my next camera. Currently shooting with another brand but when it becomes time to move up I'm leaning towards a Pentax. I'm in no big hurry but I figure now is as good time as any to start tapping on the knowledge base.
