I was thinking, maybe check the apparent wideness (field of view) against another lens at 18mm (e.g. kit lens, or similar). If it's too much hassle or you don't have similar lenses, it's okay - I'm close to going for this lens either way. Thanks.

Hi,
Toshi, have you done any checking to see if the 18mm setting is truly 18mm? There were reports of the older non-'Macro' version of this lens being a 19mm actually.

My LBA kind of got serious after I got a short term job, right after my first level of tertiary studies. By the end of last year, I had 6 lenses. 4 out of 6 lenses were older than myself, haha!
Curiosity probably killed the cat, but it filled my dry cabinet for sure. The beginning of 2007 was anti-LBA treatment - managed to get rid of 2 lenses which were used the least. That's a nice 33% reduction, and planning to clear off another 2.
Trouble is, a new lens is coming in tomorrow :lol:
