I nominate this photo!
Beautifully seen and finished. It really looks more like art and a piece that would work fantastically blown up large on a wall!

I'm not sure what you mean, can I assume you don't like this? Intentional ambiguity perhaps ;)

Thanks DB - no, it is I who have been away for a while. You have reminded me to start posting again in the 10-20mm club, it is by far my most used lens.

Thanks for the nomination and kind words. I processed this in PS CS6, mostly contrast as well as dodge and burning.

This one was taken at sunrise of the ruins of the blue metal quarry in Bombo on the NSW South Coast. I have been using a borrowed K3 and am now looking to get my hands on one permanently! ;) |

This is a question to all Australians in the forum, particularly those from Sydney.
I have a cache of about 400 odd rolls of colour 35mm negatives I want to convert into high resolution TIF files. Many places will do JPGs or stadard resolution but I want something higher quality. Google has not been my friend in this.
I don't want to buy a scanner as once this batch is done, that will be the end as I've decided not to work in film any more.
Any suggestions - I'm not really keen to mail my prized collection away if I can avoid it but any suggestion is welcomed.
Tony

Private Property and barbed wire slowed me down :-( By the time I'd finished with that tree though the clouds had moved across and the effect had vanished.

No halpaslan. It's a single exposure but there was a fair amount of tone mapping in PS. Thanks for the comment.

I see this dead tree regularly near my home and have been waiting for the right light to compliment it. The other day I was treated to perfect golden hour as the sun burst through the clouds and presented me this show. |
