This is a photo taken in a location I visit a couple of times throughout the year. It's close to where I live, and I love this tree in particular.
I hope it's ok to post a non-Pentax photo...
Thanks for offering great prizes, I've never entered an online competition before.

Ooh red! Winning this would be the perfect way to update my Pentax love. Currently rocking a Kr, which sure is out of date but far better than no camera :)

I'm still waiting on my lens - it's been in Melbourne since Wednesday. This happened a few weeks ago also when I bought a dock for my watch. It took 2 days to leave the US & arrive in Oz, where it preceded to sit in Melbourne until Oz Post decided to deal with it. Like the lens, the dock was shipped via DHL Express. I called them once I saw it delayed in Melbourne, turns out once it arrives in Oz, oz post then handles the shipping. Cause I'm not in a capital city, Oz Post now takes even longer to deliver. It's a disgrace, especially because in the case of the dock I paid for freight. Gotta love a service that doesn't care about its customers. Any wonder people are turning away from using them

Moving house has been incredibly inspiring for me; I now have flocks of parrots, galahs, magpies & other birds visiting frequently, & stunning sunsets most evenings (I don't have any images yet that I want to share, but I'm working on it).
If moving is out of the question, why not look at where you live with fresh eyes?
Inspect places with a different eye than you've used before: look for candid street shots, architectural images, macro from a scene that's usually captured from afar, landscapes that might normally go unnoticed.
Stop & take the time to look at things differently, you'll be amazed at what's in the world around you, if you take the time to seek it out.
And remember to enjoy your photography :)

I'm actually not sure what the warranty situation is. I bought the lens from B&H, because my quick online search for the same lens from Australian retailers brought me zero results. None of the usual places I shop had it.
I buy all my camera related items online - in fact the majority of my purchases are made online. I live in a rural town, there hasn't been a camera shop here for years, and when they were here they didn't stock much anyway. Granted, this is the first new lens I've purchased from an American store, but when I can't get what I want what choice am I left with?
The other problem is when the prices of Australian available items are so high, it's little wonder people turn to overseas options.
I used to work with a company who used CR Kennedy as a supplier (not photography products), and I never had a positive interaction with the, nor did my fellow employees. So whilst I could have called them to see if they had the lens I bought, I'm not inclined to spend my money with them.
My brother bought a new Pentax body & 2 lenses two years ago from B&H & has had no issues with the equipment.
I haven't actually answered your question, but wanted to give you my perspective as to why I shopped with B&H ---------- Post added 01-27-16 at 05:09 PM ---------- And I've just read the above posts on the warranty situation. Sorry, I missed those replies.
I still feel comfortable with my purchase, I guess time will tell if my comfort is valid or not.

Well, fingers crossed but I've not had problems with purchases needing repairs/warranty. I guess it's a risk, but I also have access to someone who can do repairs if needed

I took advantage of it to. Bought myself a 55-300 zoom. Have been looking since before Christmas, was umming & ahing about what to buy. The price is good, even once converted to Oz dollars & the free postage sealed the deal. Now to wait for it.... :-)

I'd buy the pink body & lenses, but I'm not a fan of the blue on the body... Also don't need the body...

Curious, are the pink lenses available separately to the body?

Finally able to provide feedback on my printing experience with Digital Camera Warehouse.
After almost four weeks & having not seen anything in the mail, I called them. I had thought that as I only ordered 2 photos my small order was perhaps put aside for larger ones. Turns out there had been a mix up. They were printed; the print team assumed the mail team had collected them & sent them, which they hadn't done. Once the mistake was picked up they express posted them to me.
I am happy with the quality of the printing & how easy it is to upload files to their system. The size of panorama I selected was the largest size their software recommended, based on the type/size of file. So I have a 12 X 24 inch print, that I'm happy with.
I recommend using them, and will use them in future. Now I need to find a frame in the correct size :-)

I'm happy with the quality of the iPhone prints I've made at home. I can only print up to A4 size, but what I've printed I've been happy with.
I was curious to try printing larger, so tried the print service available at my local office works store. I printed the next size up from 4x6 (I can't recall the exact size, I'm sleep deprived & not thinking straight). I didn't want to make a large print without testing the quality first. The result was horrid. It's difficult to explain, but the ink just looked, well, wrong. In the same batch of 10 photos I also printed a couple of photos from my Pentax & the quality was also as bad. Perhaps it was the printer? I don't know, but I no longer want to use office works.
I rang digital camera warehouse yesterday, the guy I spoke to was really helpful & assured me that they've achieved great photos from the iPhone 6. I'm going to use their software on the weekend to upload the image. Once I receive it, I'll post my feedback here.

unfortunately there is no camera store where I live; i should've mentioned that in my original post. Online is the only option I have.
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out

On a recent holiday in Cairns I took a landscape panorama that I love. I'd like to have it printed professionally, possibly on canvas, as a wedding anniversary gift to my husband.
I don't want to use Harvey Norman - I'll keep it brief & say that I don't like them - and I wasn't happy with images I printed at Office Works. Has anyone used an online store that produces quality prints from iPhones?

I bought a Fuji XP80 & took it with me on my trip to Cairns. Its a great little camera & once I got used to holding it, had a blast using it.
I recommend the Fuji to anyone looking at trying underwater photography.
This photo i attached is straight out of the camera, not time to play around with editing software, yet :)

I was going to post a question pretty much like the one asked! I'm going to Cairns for seven days, half holiday half work. Thought it'd be great to have a camera to use under water, only for snorkeling. I too read the same waterproof camera review site, was tossing up between a Pentax or a Fuji.

I bought today a Joby sling strap, and a rocket blower (and a second one for me) while picking up a couple of bargains for myself on Amazon. I'm still thinking about buying either a memory card or an external hard drive for my brother.
Thanks for the suggestions you made, it helped me enormously :)
