The Canon 5d3 finally has some basic auto iso features, that Pentax and Nikon have had for years. :)

If the rewinding knob moves as you wind the film, but the counter doesn't, there's a chance the exposure counter is broken. These things happen.

EF-S lenses can't be mounted on EF-bodies. It's not entirely unpossible to make a lens for the new mirrorless Pentax, that would not mount on any of the previous slr bodies.
I no longer use digital Pentax cameras - I switched to FF in 2009 - but would still like to see Pentax use the full potential of the mirrorless k-mount by making small and fast lenses.

Hi
Does anyone know where I could buy the Pentax adapter for my m42 lenses? Pentax webstore doesn't have it, ebay only has one seller and it's quite expensive. I'm located in EU.

It doesn't have a cover. I can confirm this by looking at any of the three Super A bodies I have.

With the amount of daylight we have here in Finland, it's hard to expose "correctly". At noon, with the sun shining, there's about 5 stops less light than there is at summer. To take photos outside in daylight, I go out no earlier than 11am and it starts getting dark from 1pm. A bit further north the sun doesn't peak above horizon at all.

Heh, the Finnish to English automatic translation is rubbish.

There's also the fact that going wide is cheaper on full frame. One of the first lenses I bought for my D700 was an old 24/2.8 Nikkor for about 120eur. It's as wide as my DA*16-50 was, but with better DOF control and is actually sharper (primes tend to be), and cost me almost 800 euros less. I'm a wide angle shooter, so FF was a very natural step forwards.

D700 has an electronic rangefinder in its VF. Manual focus is easy with it.

Old Pentax 85mm lenses are made too desirable by Pentax, by not making new 85mm lenses. Which is just not very smart in my opinion. Many aps-c users want to use 85mm lenses, right?

I see a lot of pretty annoying flickering on the first video. Might have something to do with your lighting.

Nikon has the old AI 35/1.4 too, which is MF and goes for 300-500$ I think. The lenght is 74mm, and diameter 67,5mm, so this lens is 36mm longer than the Nikon, plus 15,5mm wider in diameter.

The new Nikon 35/1.4 is so expensive that I'd need to win in lottery. If this lens is cheap, I'll get it.

According to Yoshihiko's tests (here) the M and A (which are the same) 35/2.8 are sharper than the M, A or K 35/2. The FA 35/2 is much sharper than any of these. The older 35/2 lenses never reach good results in the edges.

I've been meaning to write an essay about my experience with Pentax. In short, I've been left with poor experience. If you ever want to upgrade to pro grade body, don't buy into Pentax. My personal choice was Nikon.

So now for a Pentax photographer, there isn't any classic focal lenghts available as new. 16, 20, 24, 28, 50, 85, 135. Also no fast 35mm. Really discouraging.

Is it really worth it? For the price, one could buy either a Nikon or Canon body with 135/2 AF lens. The old Nikkor 135/2 goes for 1/3 of this price. The fact that Pentax doesn't make a new 135mm really distorts the used lens market.

I've always liked wide angle lenses + short dof. I went full frame half an year ago and was ready to buy FF a year ago. I wish it had been Pentax, but there was no option.
