I called them to ask about the 4GB Eye Fi card that was supposed to be bundled with the K-50 Body. At first the lady on the phone said that she spoke to her manager and that they said that it wasn't supposed to come with it, but I made my case that it actually states and is pictured with the card. She spoke to her manager again and managed to make my case for me. She agreed that it's misleading on the site and they are sending me the card. She was very pleasant on the phone. If the card comes in the mail as it should, then my experience wasn't so bad. I'm sorry that others are having these really big issues. Mine was pretty minor in comparison.

Was your K-50 supposed to come with the EyeFi card? Mine was, but it wasn't in the packaging, as far as I can tell...

Well, the K-50 came quickly and on the scheduled delivery date, but it was supposed to be bundled with a 4GB EyeFi and I can't find it in the box. I don't think they sent it. I was thinking that might happen. I sent them an email asking about it...

Thanks. :) I just tried it with Photoshop and it looks like it saves the EXIF info too. Going to look at the info of some other photos first to make sure.

OK, thanks! Not sure what to do now. I'm using Lightroom to export and I don't have the minimize Metadata button ticked, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I'll see if I can figure it out.

Darn. I uploaded a photo and the board isn't recognizing the full EXIF data...
Any way to get it deleted and try a different way of uploading it?
Not sure why it didn't work uploading from my computer, since I just uploaded it to Flickr and the EXIF data is all there.

Count me in too.
I doubt I would get even close to enough posts to win but maybe this will encourage me to post more. :)
This is a great thing for Pentax and Pentax Forums to do, so I hope people won't abuse it and try to be genuine with their posting activity. :)
Good Luck everyone!

All available items have been sold. Thanks to all. :) Tamron 70-300mm LD Di Macro 1:2
$140 (price includes shipping, insurance, and Paypal fee) SOLD for $110
Excellent condition. Lens was purchased used, and the hood was purchased new from B&H. It comes with caps and the hood. No real problems with purple fringing and great for wildlife shots and good macro effect. Pictures of this lens and taken with this lens are at the end of this post. K100D + DA 18-55mm AL with transferable Mack Extended Warranty for body until 7/12 plus extras: 4pk Uniross Hybrio batteries (removed from sale), 1 Sandisk Ultra II 2GB, 1 Shutter release
K100D is in excellent condition. I am the original owner. It was purchased from B&H in July of '07. It has not had any problems. It was always in a bag when it wasn't used. It comes with the box and everything that was included with it: body cover, unused strap, cables, manuals, software. There is some minor dust in the viewfinder, and there is probably dust on the sensor that I rarely notice. It can be cleaned of course. (I am also selling some sensor cleaning products in this listing) Slight discoloration on the grip. Shutter count 9416.
DA 18-55mm is in excellent condition, though I purchased it used. It comes with the box, manuals, original caps and hood.
$320 body with Mack Warranty, lens, and extras(no longer available together because lens was sold separately)
$300 with lens and Mack Warranty but without the extras (no longer available together because lens was sold separately)
K100D body with Mack Extended Warranty until 7/12 (now includes Sandisk card and Shutter Release for free)
$270 (price includes warranty transfer fee for body, shipping, insurance and Paypal fee) SOLD without warranty for $250
$40 DA 18-55mm lens only SOLD (prices include warranty transfer fee for body, shipping, insurance and Paypal fee) Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 XR Di SOLD

I love all the wildlife photos! :)
My dog from January '09. K100D and some sort of off camera flash, don't remember the specifics. I cropped the image a bit too. |

I made my decision and purchased this lens from prodigital on ebay. The lens took a bit longer to get to me since I don't live in Canada, but it got here in a timely fashion considering. :) Once I'm done testing this lens I'll be leaving very positive feedback for the company. :)
Some of you may remember that I wanted a relatively fast focusing and close focusing lens to take pictures of dogs. The macro capabilities and normal focal length pushed me over the edge... as did the lovely pictures in this forum. :)
Here are some example from my copy of the lens from the brief shoots I've had with it in the last day. I think I'm in love. :)
Here's a link to the set. I'll hopefully be adding more tomorrow. :) Pentax SMC DA 35mm 2.8 Macro Limited - a set on Flickr |

Thanks for your impressions on this lens RaduA! I was especially interested in the speed of the AF and you (along with other fans of this lens including the OP) helped me make my decision and purchase this lens. I hope I like it. :)

I'd go for the 1.7, especially if it's the FA version. I prefer the look better than the F version.
I tested the FA 50mm 1.4 and the F 50mm 1.7 and they don't start to get even in terms of sharpness and contrast until around 2.4 - 2.8. The F 50mm 1.7 is better at 1.7 and at 2.0 than the FA 50mm 1.4, so it's possible that the FA version is better too.
Just wanted to say that I agree about the bokeh of the 50mm 1.4... So it's a matter of what is important to you. Though for $120 I'd take the sharper, more contrasty lens when wide open, over the one with the prettier bokeh...
