just pre booked my ticket for focus on imaging 2013 and did not the absence of pentax.
as i understand they was'nt there last year either.
surely this is an oversight. as the other major brands are there.
is there a reason for this.?

the car shows might wanna dabble in a bit od hdr so want the camera steady plus genrally to get better shots.

this looks a good bet i was gonna get a monopod too but this looks like it will solve both issues.

god how many.
right im a newbie to dslr photography ive got a k30 with 18-55 and 70-300mm lens so far.
now i need a tripod but their are so many its getting a little confusing.
i dont want to spend the earth i just want a general purpose tripod i can take with me or use at home.
quite like macro and i do quite alot of shows i.e air, car shows throughout the year.
so as i joined up i thought i would ask you guys and gals what your using and what you would recommend.
going race retro in to weeks so need one by then.
please your guidance is needed.?

seen a few k-7's going for a good price would this be a better entry into pentax slr.

well im new or will be new to the world of pentax ownership by the end of the week.
so not got a slr at the moment and it will be my first so not gonna go mad. i have seen a few k-r's for sale at attractive prices and yes i know the k-30 is basically the replacement. but for a newbie the k-r seems ideal.
so my plan is to go the k-r route for 6 months see how i get on and if i really get the bug i'll go for a k-30 or k-5 iis depending on how bigger bug lol
anyone got any thoughts.?
i'm quite into macro/close up. landscape and i got to quite a few events, car shows, and so on.
currently use a nikon compact its limited but doesnt spoil my enthusiasm. lol
