I just did that last night
It didn't do anything... I'll have to go to the service guys and try on a different battery, maybe. But I doubt it's just that.

No, the screen isn't turned off... :[ I can SEE through the viewfinder, of course, there's nothing obstructing it or anything. But absolutely nothing else works. I tried just pressing all the buttons and nothing happens...

It was perfectly fine until a few days ago. I lent it to a friend for a project and she couldn't use it because it wouldn't turn on. She said she didn't do anything to it...
I assumed the battery was empty, but I charged it and it's still not working. All I see when I turn it on are a some red flashing lights in the viewfinder. I tried starting it without the lens or without the memory card, still nothing... I checked the user manual and there's nothing about this in there either
As far as I can tell, the flashing lights are the focus points. (they're pretty faint and hard to see)

Please help, I'm really worried :(
