I was sure Pentax would show a new K3III at Photokina, but it didn't happend. I have the 560mm and it is awesome - but AF at K3 is to bad.
So i have to go same way as you.

Kath - you should buy a lens coat for your new lens. Lenscoat has a sample and it fits perfect.
I have not donated to this website - so i can,t upload so many pictures. Are you guys active at the facebook? It would be great to see your pictures with the new lens. Here is a little sample

You are welcome.
At the 10/2 it is winter here in denmark - and at 10am we have a wunderfull light. I normaly use the settings "TAV". I control shutter and "F" and the camera finds the ISO in the level i have chosen. So here i have decited 1/1600 and F8 and the camera has chosen ISO 200 to make the exposure corect. Almost all my pics are whit that settings.
But normaly i would set the ev to a little "-" so the white on this bird dont burn.
We had this hen harrier in 14 days a if only we stayed in the car it came very close. I will try to add an other sample

Hi
Firs i am sorry my bad english - but i will try.
i have gone the way from 150-500 to the 560mm and it was a fantastic change. The 560 is an awsome lense and i am happy to use it. I know it is for apsc - but i have no plans to go FF - i am sure Pentax will take good care of us, who wants o have the crop 1.5 and have the 9-10 pictures pro secund. And by the way i am sure the new FF wil have an crop finction.
The 560 makes a super job. Only cons is the size. I is rather long - and sometimes it is a litte difficult - but it is only a small problem. I often join other guys - often canikon - and my lens is absolute at the same level as theirs. So i can only recomand to take the step. I could not use a long lens with MF.
At this link you can se a few of my pictures - all taken with the 560. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/12-post-your-photos/308263-nature-560mm-samples.html

When visiting Hirsholmene in Denmark there were plenty of these birds in July, usually their brood.
They came flying into the high speed so it was very difficult to hit focus.
Hope you like it ......

LOL
It will cost 52/80 dollars to send a letter to denmark only including a SD-card. It will be the most expensive card i ever have buyed.
Have a great summer. In Denmark the sun is shining an it is 25 celsius.
