Excellent photo and a wonderful place to visit. I used to dine there often when my son was in college back in the 90s. I'm sure it's changed a lot since then but I have many fond memories of my trips to Charleston and Shem Creek.

I love long exposure shots like this, smoothing out the water and flaring all the little lights.

Hi I am Joe from San Antonio TX, home of the Alamo, SPURS, and some of the best Tex-Mex food in the world.

My first Pentax was an ME Super from the early 1980s. Today I shoot with a LUNIX G9 using old Pentax glass:

M 1:1.7 50mm, (perfection)
A MACRO 1:2.8 50mm, (awesome)
M ZOOM 1:2.8~4 40~80mm, (underated fun)
M 1:3.5 135mm, (~OK++)
Super TAK 1:4 200mm (~OK---)
Reflex Zoom 1:8~12 400~600mm, (BIG mistake, but that is story in it self!)

I absolutely love old Pentax glass. On today's digital bodies, getting good exposures is a snap. Manual focus is a joy. The color and contrast is phenomenal. And depending on the lens, the resolution is as good as it gets. For me being constrained by budget, I can have have world class optics at a price I can afford.

K-3 and DA*200 ƒ2.8
ISO 500m ƒ8 or ƒ5.6 and AV 1/60 -1/200

I've had a cackle of 40 or 50 grackles all summer. They of course dominate everything but the blue jays, But as a result, the smaller birds are in the habit of barging in and getting the best seats, sometimes when my hands are still on the feeders. The nuthatch sits on the bill of my baseball cap. As soon as the chopped nuts are spread on the horizontal feeder, it's pig out time for the smaller birds. Hence, I can stand 3 feet away. They like it, the large birds won't come near. As long as I'm there, they keep coming back. The Pine Siskins just sit on the feeder, close enough I could probably grab one. Sometimes they move around to the backside of the feeder. I guess they think I don't know they are there if they can't see me.

The chickadees are quick, it takes a lot of shots to get one you like.

And my buddy the nuthatch. There's two so far, and they are always fighting. I suspect siblings. There' also a White Breasted Nuthatch, but, there's no pictures to date. He hasn't figured out the routine yet.

A quick pic taken while wondering around the local park with my fiancée.
Completely happy with how K20D performs at ISO800.

Used my speedlite to assist me with this one in my backyard. It was midday and cloudless. Utilized an md adapter (no glass) to connect the lens.

Great shot! I'm also a butterfly enthusiast, and I raise and release swallowtails very year. I've seen and photographed monarchs and pipevine swallowtails mating in my yard on numerous occasions, but I've never spotted Red-spotted Purples, which as you probably know, are Pipevine Swallowtail mimics. Below are links to a couple of my shots of Red-spotted Purples with open wings... they are quite stunning butterflies :)
