From the another forum, I found that there are some adapters from P6 to P67.
The manufacturer is printing the title of the adapter as "Pentax 67 mount for Biometar 2.8/120mm lens". I found this discussion, when I was trying to find the image circle of the CZJ 120 Biometar lens.

I will buy thus adapter (and anothers from Belarus) from RafCamera once the war in Ukraine have made the peace.

First round testing of Sony camera (A7C)

Thanks you for finding this compatibility chart. I spent almost 30 seconds for searching thus listing. This means I did not think this listing would be relevant for attaching the same brand lens and the adapter. Although the manufacturer is publishing their compatibility list to the internet, it is anyways making them liability for not providing the actual support for their customers. Legally it is fine, but customer support -wise, they are not matching what Pentax is providing.

Currently I am holding 2 Sigma lenses with the Canon attachement. Neither of these two are listed in the manufacturer's compatibility list. Thus, I am thinking of moving this adapter for the main mechanical adapter. This is for providing the attachment for providing the Sony camera for getting the pictures with the Bowens Illumitran slide copier machine. If wanting to fetch the Sigma lens, then I would just select the Sony mount, instead of using the MC-11 adapter providing the Canon->Sony attachment. Alternative for me, for waiting until the Canon popluation are moving themselves for the Canon mirrorless environment, and selling their EF lenes with the hefty discount.

Thank you for finding and linked providing this manufacturer statement link. It will provide much more exposure of what is my plannings and actions for doing this attire.

First round testing of Sony camera (A7C)

I'm in the process of getting rid of unnecessary equipment. This is including selling Sigma lenses attached to Pentax, and getting rid of whole Canon attire.

Somebody asked about me selling of Pentax-mount of Sigma 12-24. I am having Sigma 24mm f1.8 for the Canon mount, so I took this opportunity of testing my newest camera Sony A7C, by attaching the Sigma 24mm lens to this camera. Sigma 24mm + Sigma MC-11 is not tolerable for providing the autofocus or providing the EXIF data for this Sony camera. My testing round equipment was having Pentax K-1 + Sigma 12-24mm and Sony A7C + Sigma 24mm.

With the Sony camera I could take 40% of the pictures while taking 100% of the pictures by using the Pentax camera. The 60% of my shooting locations, I was trying to take the picture for 5 minutes with the Sony camera, then just I gave up for trying this. Sony just declined the shooting button for taking the picture. Tried with "Auto", "P", "A", "S", and "M" as the setting on the dial.

Attached for my post is one location of the 40% of the successful captured photo.

Left-hand side: Sony A7C + Sigma 24mm f1.8 (Canon via Sigma MC-11 adapter)

Right-hand side: Pentax K-1 + Sigma 12-24mm @ 24mm.

My opinion for this one testing round is Sony A7C is purely the expensive and troublesome toy. My future plan for moving from the Canon brand is including buying the high resolution Sony A7R iv (or v). [Where could I get the Pentax K-1iii stickers?] When wanting to shoot the wide angle pictures, acquiring the SMC Pentax-D FA 645 25mm lens. Sony A7C is just expensive toy.

Liquid vs. powder chems, which are better? + is Foma the cheapest?

Yes, this is doubling what I mentioned as the final result is depending on the home-developer procedure.

This test was measured as:
Dilution Time
1:25 8 min
1:50 16 min
1:100 32 min
1:200 64 min

Agitation automated by using the JOBO CPP-3 film processor.

By hand-agitation with the 1+200 dilution? The person must be having the iron mind.

Very True.

Yes, it is the comprehensive, but is giving only the ballpark of the numbers. One example, we had here the local testing process of using Rodinal with with Ilford FP4 with different dilutions. (Recorded by using the 8x10" film. Another story, nothing about Pentax). Rodinal 1+25, 1+50, 1+100 and 1+200, with expanding the development time for matching the dilution degree.

Results of this test round = each 4 sectors resulted the same provision. Massive Dev Chart is not listing the FP4+Rodinal for the 1+200 dilution. The chart is telling this combination is "low contrast" for 1+100 dilution. Screenshot from the Chart from 13th July 2022. This because the time for that item in the chart is not following the linear degree of the development time. Hopefully they will update the response for any user asking the same question.

Home-developers are always having their own quirks. For providing the repeatable results, the person must record their own procedures, and stick to that.

Spotmatic!

I forgot that I had 2 Spotmatics in my cellar. Thus I bought the third. Battery is.. I don't know where could I acquire. Anyways I am carrying the light meter, so it's no troublesome for me.

Today I replaced my LX battery from LR44 to SR44.

Today I bought the second water boiler named "KitchenAid Artisan".

Selected the red colour for my darkroom, and grey for my home. Selected this one, because it his having the lowest selectable temperature. The picture is stating the °C, obvious not about the Fahrenheits.

Ilford is telling about the time-scale with different temperatures. Some web sites are telling about C-41 process with the temperatures. About E-6 process I did not find any information (yet). Of course, both C-41 and E-6 are about being standardized for the 100°F temperature; curiosity killed the cat for providing the information of these experimental settings.

One Lomography C-41 article
is providing the alternative route for reaching the temperature as the process requires.

Very True.

Pentax 67 with Stacked Converters vs 400mm with 1.4X/2X

I am having the 2x Vivitar 67 Pentax teleconverter, and the 300mm F4 lens. My location full moon is happening at 12th August, means one week from now.

(If remembering this, and being in my home) will shoot the moon with and without the teleconverter. My location is having some (not much, Helsinki) light noise; however I am thinking it would be beneficial for you for seeing the result.

Obvious, I am not answering to your question... I am playing with the cards I am having in my hand.

(re: @gofour3, the internet findings of your mentioned "Pentax 67 Rear Converter", is unsurprisingly telling, "Two or more cannot use").

Digital View Camera lens with Pentax

Alternative for using the view camera would be purchasing the Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Adapter, attaching the Pentax K camera directly to the view camera. Previously I did not know such item is there at all, and I am seeing in the manufacturer's site they are telling this is sold out. Some other mounts are there for sale; buying the new mount camera body would make not a lot sense for me.

Thus continuing my original post attached video arrangement for doing something similarish.

About this approach, I am seeing the French startup company named Pixii - Digital rangefinder camera were successful for their crowdfunding campaign.

--- clip ---
Connected digital rangefinder camera.
New 26MP BSI image sensor.
New interactive viewfinder.
USB-C and more.
--- clip ---

Lowest price they are suggesting is 8GB - 2499 euros. I am not wanting to buy such gadget, because my lens is not compatible with this. Previously I tried the Ricoh A12 module of that GR camera. Just threw the module away.

So doubleshooting my original findings of what Pentax offered of the standard LX price of a bit over 1,000$ dollars. Because inflation was then, and now soaring, then.

Pentax D-LX, 2,499€.
Pentax D-LX, 2,499$.
Pentax D-LX, 349,999¥.

Should I move myself for being the pricing manager?

Whaterless. I would buy this product with the above stated prices. Be it in $, €, or ¥.

Digital View Camera lens with Pentax
Posted By ppohja
Replies: 18

Good day,

I am now trying to fetch the right lens for providing the right view for the digital view camera. Focusing on the Pentax lenses, because I am having this brand lenses AND cameraes.

The idea of such digital view format camera I got from the YouTube presenter,

You Tube

Shortcircuit, he is using the view camera with the attachement of using the digital camera for shooting the ground glass. In his presentation, he is using the Nikon 35mm camera with the 60mm macro lens for focusing to the ground glass. (00:42 of the video when you are focused for the specs). I am loving and hating his back-light-stopping light of using the IKEA trashcan.

Back to the title of my forum post.
From my Google Searches, I am finding the lens the author is using is having the Minimum Focus Distance of 7.28" / 18.5 cm. This was this Google itself is telling to be. This one number is have too many parameters for the AI to determine, I am now coming back to this forum.

So. My main question is:
What lens+camera [of Pentax] would be sufficient for me to start taking digital view camera pictures?

For answers to be relevant, I am willing the answers would included the
- ground glass size (another digital camera back screen; 3.25x4.25"; 4x5"; 5x7"; 8x10")
- distance the ground glass to the picture sheet, regardless being digital or film
- Fixture (Manfrotto?) equipment for providing this kind of arrangement

No answer? No worries, I am too often in the situation of asking to difficult questions. Usually I am trying to formulate my question in such a way for allowing the reader for answering with sufficient knowledge. This time I am in the original spot of not doing such this.

Last item in my list, I am thinking this author is showing these items in his setup (video 0:58)
MANFROTTO 131DB
MANFROTTO 131DDB

I am assuming the author is from US, so the name he is using this equipment is the US-based. Brand numbers I am assuming are the same with the European brand of Manfrotto. Part answers of my original question, I am finding some research information here in this forum. Fetch of this researched information from this forum, for me, are;
SMC Pentax-FA 645 120mm F4 Macro; Min. Focus 40 cm
SMC Pentax-D FA 50mm F2.8 Macro; Min. Focus 20 cm
SMC Pentax-D FA 100mm F2.8 Macro Min. Focus 30 cm
Samyang 100mm F2.8 MacroMin. Focus 30 cm

Various numbers between the 645 and 35mm. Thus. Back to my original question. What would YOU suggest for the combination of the view camera + ground glass + (macro) lens + Pentax camera back for providing the overall experience for taking the relevant pictures. Youtube author is telling 18cm; minimum Pentax lenses I am finding is 20cm. 10% difference of the minimum focus. Back to the basics, what does this 18 cm or 20 cm focus distance is doing? Another route for the same question, what lens+camera [of Pentax] would be sufficient for me (and you) to me (and for you) start taking digital view camera pictures?

Above, my complaint of doing the relevant questions, I will take the camera and the upmentioned lens for arranging the first digital view camera picture for some more clarity of which I am asking the knowledge of this.

When you are interested with no answers; stay on line.

There are lots of unchartered waters around the whole photography. Creating "filterforums.xxx" is fast and cheap. Making this the real community; ten millions or billion more. Such we are staying in the existing forums, of which this one is the one (and only) I am focusing for.

Very helpful for the original poster. Myself, I am now having two (=three) filter brands, unbranded, Cokin, and Lee100 was the most recent. Any beneficial for me for the photography? Better to being browsing these forums, rather than making real photoes.

There was the recent messaging thread, suggesting the same what you mentioned. This past of this forum was/is named "Is it possible for Pentax to digitalised some vintage cameras?".

Pentax moved their strategy to having this workshop-attitudes. This messaging forum is having lots of input for this; what would be the most beneficial for transferring to the real results.

Pentax D-LX.

Interface the same. No digital back-screen. Digital FF of 16 Mpix. No shake reduction. Attachement available with the original LX attachements.

Price the same with original analogue Pentax LX. From the internet, I am finding standard pentaprism viewfinder and a 50mm f/1.4 Pentax-M lens and carried a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $1085.

I will buy from the workshop place.

As I am having the LX attachments (and the film camera), I am volunteering for being the tracer bullet.

Creating the renewal of third party branding with the crowd funding, if Pentax is not following their workshop approach.

Will we see a K1 Mark 3?
Posted By ppohja

I am having K-1 mk 1 camera as my only full frame digital camera. Upgrading this to the mk 2, means nonsense for me.

Thus, I am waiting for the K-1 mk 3. Or moving the full frame to Sony A1 (or upcoming Sony A1 mk2) with using the Monster Adapter LA-KE1 as the AF adapter.

Since I am mostly focused for taking film photographies, this above decision can wait, maybe until eternity. Ilford are having their 17th round of ordering the un-usual formats. Thus yesterday ordered the wooden 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 field camera from Japan. Cost of this camera was 1/3rd of the price of the Monster Adapter LA-KE1.

I am having the 5x7" camera (times two), one is the wooden, and another is the studio. This ordered camera from Japan is that having the slightly smaller sensor, so will it cause me savings for shooting this film? Surely not. And 100.01% that Pentax will not match that large format.

Hi guys,
I noticed it's a way too long time since I was participating in this challenge. And then figured out that I didn't re-introduce myself here.

So, this new fancy 85mm DFA lens was available at my local shop (they actually had 2 copies on the shelf!); summer time office-wise gives more relaxations, so I decided to give this game another shot.

As the lens is a new one to the community, I will be using the explanation 'technical evaluation' when I'm struggling with the creative content. Ok?

Yesterday I bought the D FA 85mm lens. Is there a single film camera body which I could be shooting at f2.8 ?
