Problem is in light strenght, try focusing on sun, is very fast, but problem is in electronic, sometimes loses, and there is problem when hi again must find great position for focusing.
This is not totally problem, i have another problem, my ring for zoom falter on fine zoom on closed object.

I use smc 18-55mm, and sigma 70-210mm. But i think that is pictured with 18-55m.
i whant tell, hummingbird, this bird is so fast, i picture it about 1h, for that one photo. I think that will buy some lens with F 1.8 or 2.4 or 2.8, because, all with less F is bad for macro photos. Ok F 3.5 is good, but must be a sunny day without a clouds.

I have KR- Adapter for AA battery is best thing I've ever seen. I use ENELOOP 2500mAh (extreme) - about $20 without charger - If I am not mistaken any dslr with grip cannot shot so many photos like KR (im caunted about 1000+ without flash) - i dont know exactly because im shoot about 600 photos and battery is steel on green. :-) I need some travel to take more photos to know exactly - I was on my last trip to Venice, and i wait next. :-)

Fantastic photos.
Photo with Kid in white coat and with white cap, and photo with kid on trail is my best choise, great job. 5+
