Hello,
Our web site will allow you to filter by "Best Sellers". The K-5IIs is the current best selling Pentax DSLR and most reviewed. The 50mm f/1.8 comes in at #1 (no surprise there) but the 50mm f/1.4 is the most rated currently.

Facebook integration IMO is very nice to have as long as it supplements a local login system without replacing it. For example, Nikon Forums already have 5k facebook fans, and it's quite likely that many of those users would prefer to use their facebook accounts to register / log in rather than using a separate login (which is automatically created & e-mailed to them in case facebook isn't available).
Like it or not, social media is here to say for now. It's a huge revenue & traffic source for lots of sites & companies.

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
SMC DA* 16-50 f2.8 - Excellent condition. FREE SHIPPING *must sell this weekend* Asking Price
575 AUD Item Location
Newcastle, NSW (Australia) Item Description
Here I have an excellent copy of the lovely DA* 16-50mm f2.8.
I love this lens, I actually sold my Sigma 10-20 after I got this because I was using this for 90% of my landscapes, even though I bought it for weddings (which it is also great for).
Anyway I am in need of some funds so I have 4 lenses for sale, but if one of them sells or it gets to the end of this weekend then it won't be for sale any more... I don't know if that sentence made sense but I think you get me, it's sold soon or not sold at all.
It is in excellent condition cosmetically, mechanically and optically. There are no blemishes to report, it has its hood, front and rear caps. I do not have the box for it or the original case but I am including a like new condition Sigma case that is exactly the right size. This is actually better because 1) it's a more protective case than the Pentax ones and 2) it has a belt loop so it can be hooked on to things, unlike the Pentaxes, which frankly I find a bit useless. Postage in Australia is included. The Paypal fee is ALSO included. Price is negotiable but it's already a great price so don't be stupid :) Worldwide postage, please message me for a price.
Any other questions and offers are welcome - check out the pics and enjoy! Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

I love the attention to detail in your two shots, @mtux, especially the skies, the colours and the long perspective.
Lots of brass from @ramseybuckeye, that must have been a sight.
Some good stagecoach fun from @SpecialK. Shotgun Lil gets my vote. That chap on the ground looks a bit unwell. Must have eaten a bad oyster!
A super atmospheric sunset from @StevenMatchett and a beautifully lit and framed photograph from @Stephen.
More great macro shots from @Paleo Pete. I love the bees (?); bees are so hard to resist especially bumblebees. The last shot in your second set is just like the skipper butterflies we have here, though the ones local to me are a bit browner by the look of it. They are very active beasties around all the blackberry bushes here when the season for them is on.
These are two fabulous birds to have seen on your walk and to share with us, @nosliwmit. There are Eurasian kingfishers here but I've never seen one locally. There are red kites and buzzards here out in the countryside but I've never got close to one.
Anyway, lots of different views from around the world this week. So sorry I haven't been in more often but it's been a bit hectic here and no photography since last weekend.
Plus, we need someone to take over the thread for next week. Any volunteers?

I would consider myself even less than a portrait beginner but I think the first pic has definite potential.
I tried to act on a couple of the suggestions from the others and came up with this - let me know if my post is unwelcome in any way and I will delete it. |
