PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Pentax K-5 with extras Asking Price
$520 USD Item Location
Davis, CA (United States) Item Description
For sale is a Pentax K-5 camera.
Shutter Count: 18193
I have used this camera extensively and have really enjoyed it. Bought it new in August 2011 had it serviced in August 2012. It had the mirror flop issue, which is why I sent it in, there was also some persistent dust on the sensor. The mirror issue was fixed and I have not had a single instance of it since the repair. The service center also cleaned the sensor and checked for sensor stains, there are none.
I have included a lot of pictures so you have a good idea of the condition. There are some scratches, mostly on the bottom of the camera and a few scuff marks on the edges. It has never been dropped or abused just well used for the last year and a half. I had a screen protector on it, but removed it before sale.
Included with the camera is the kit lens and all accessories that came packaged with the camera: all cords, manuals, software, battery and charger. The only missing item is the hot shoe cover which I recently lost and have not replaced.
Also included are 2 extra batteries, one pentax and one third party as well as a remote shutter release that I used for long exposure and night photography.

There have been some requests for pictures regarding the Panagor macro lens. I have added a picture detailing the scratch that is visible when the barrel is extended. I have also added a couple of pictures taken with that lens and my K-5.
Thanks for looking!

Hi, Thanks for the suggestion. A quick search didn't turn up anything that would indicate they work together. There is mention of a VF-3 by CarrySpeed but that is all I came across so far.

I need to free up some cash so my loss is your gain.
Pentax DFA 100mm F/2.8 WR Macro lens (SOLD)
$590
In excellent condition. I have used this lens a lot but I have taken very good care of it. There are no scratches, marks or blemishes. Glass is clean. Comes with all original packaging, including lens caps, hood, and carrying case. This is a fabulous macro lens and weather sealed.
Metz mecablitz 50 AF-1 flash (SOLD)
$125
In very good condition. I have used this extensively as well. There are a few faint cosmetic blemishes but everything is in excellent working order. Comes with all original packaging including manual. I will throw in a Stofen omnibounce diffuser as well.
Induro Akbo tripod (SOLD)
$90
In good condition. This has seen some use and has some scratches and wear but is in full working order. Comes with carrying case. Panagor F/2.8 macro lens
$150
I am surprised this hasn't sold yet, it is part of that legendary group of macro lenses that are raved about. Excellent optics. The only issue which I have mentioned before is a bit of stiffness to the focus ring and slight scratches on the outer barrel noticeable when extended. (Edit: forgot to add I have no front lens cap, I have been using a UV filter instead) I am selling this at a loss but it needs to go to a good home.
For you Olympus shooters:
VF-2 electronic viewfinder (SOLD)
$150
In like new condition, has barely been used. Comes with all original packaging, including nifty carrying case.

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Panagor 90 F2.8 macro Asking Price
See item details USD Item Location
California (United States) Item Description
Selling off four Pentax lenses that I have not been using enough to justify keeping them around. I have not sold on the forums before so please feel free to ask questions. All prices include shipping.
Pentax DA 40mm F2.8 Limited: (SOLD) Mint condition. I have barely used this lens, it comes with all original packaging, caps, and manual. Also including a pinch cap which is much more user friendly than the metal cap.
$270
Pentax DA 35mm F2.8 Limited Macro: (SOLD) Excellent condition. This lens has seen some use but does not show any wear except for some very slight marks on the lens cap. Comes with all original packaging, caps, and manual.
$470
Pentax-A 50mm F1.7: (SOLD) Good condition. No marks on lens or body. A mode works, aperture ring feels slightly rough, it turns without much problem but is slightly stiff. Lens cap included.
$50 Panagor 90mm F2.8 Macro (K-mount): Good condition. No marks on lens, when fully extended there are some wear marks. Focus is fairly stiff. All manual, no lens cap but comes with uv filter. I wouldn't sell this except that I have the Pentax 100mm WR and that is my go-to macro lens.

Thanks for the replies so far. Two votes for lightening the reflection, I can play around with that. Does anyone think the rock formation in the background is too washed out? Something about it bugs me a little but I cant put my finger on it.

I really like the composition and color. My only criticism would be that it looks a tad oversharpened, otherwise it is fabulous.

Hi All,
This is a photo from a recent trip to Yosemite. This was my first time shooting there in the winter and I had a great time. I like the picture but there is always room for improvement. Any suggestions?

Hellow fellow Pentaxians,
I have been lurking on this forum for quite some time and thought it was about time I introduced myself.
I live in beautiful northern California, which provides plenty of opportunities for me to get out and do my two favorite things: backpacking and photography.
Got back into photography about 2 years ago and picked up a K-5, this has been a fabulous camera and I have learned so much. I am still finding things in camera that I never thought I would need but now totally love (intervalometer!). In addition to outdoor photography I have been trying out photographing events, I find this to be very challanging as it often involves using a flash (which I struggle with) and interacting with people (sometimes I get uncomforatable going up to strangers) but has been a great learning experience.
Lots of great advice on this forum, looking forward to being a part of the community!
Cheers,
Adam
