I have the 680 plus the 390RC2 head. The monopod is great as it's a bit shorter having 4 sections. The head I'm not too crazy about but it does have a quick release.
I also recently bought the folding legs to make it into a tripod. I wouldn't trust leaving my K10D + grip + DA18-250mm on it alone in the wind, but it's a lot more sturdy having the legs out. It allows me to focus on the subject a bit more without worrying about dropping my rig if I let go for a brief second.
The legs screw into the bottom section when not needed. Adds a little more weight but I can deal with that.

I liked #20 too but didn't vote for it as I'd like to have seen more of the vertical.

I had a problem with wearing the sling shot. Personally, with it half full, I couldn't stand that the thick and wide strap couldn't distribute the weight better. It was also on my wrong shoulder. I also didn't like not being able to change lenses safely while in the sling position. Too afraid that another lens will slip out. It was just too awkward for me to appreciate the sling position.
I'm not planning to use the flipside to access gear horizontally. Most times, I'll just take it off and set the pack down. With regular packs, I often wear them backwards while commuting so that the pack is within my arms. I also wear it backwards over one shoulder while accessing the main compartment. I am hoping that with the flipside, I can do just that and be able to whip out my K10D while only unzipping it half way down protecting the rest of the gear.

I had the slingshot 300. It was too big yet too small for me. I bought the crumpler brazillion dollar home and love it but need something a bit smaller for day trips. I'm on the fence with this one or getting another top loading pack that my k10d will fit in. :(
I also like how lowepro add better tripod attachments to this. The strap is now oriented in the right direction and the little pocket on the bottom helps keep it from sliding.

Anyone try it yet? Might consider it after I take a look at it.
You have to take it off to access your camera, but it's much safer when traveling or moving around as the camera compartment is covered by your back. does not open to the front. Lowepro - Flipside 200 - Lowepro eCommerce |

I am in the market for a new bag too.
I have the Slingshot 300 and it's nice but too big for most days and not big enough for others so I went overboard and got the Brazillion Dollar Home. Got it for a good price so it was a no brainer.
But now I want something to use for day trips where I only have the K10D w/18-250 and one extra lens. My problem is that I use the battery grip and can seem to find a smaller bag that it will fit in. I'd keep using my TLZ2 but it just doesn't fit right.
