I ordered a Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM lens from them for my K5 and it came in a plain white box with just the caps and hood but no instructions or warranty information. They claimed it was still new. I promptly returned it and got my money back at a small cost of $6.00 shipping. I never believed them when they said it was still new. Luckily, I was able to pick up a nice "babied" copy here PF for a couple of hundred dollars less.

That's why I got the K-01. I also didn't want to start a whole new collection but now that I've read the recent review here on this web site on the official Pentax K-mount-to-Q adapter, I am quite intrigued (especially with that 5X crop factor plus the fact the old Q is going for just a little over $200 on Amazon).

I have a K-5 as my main shooter and a Fujifilm X10 as my "pocketable" camera. (That's a stretch.) I did up until recently also owned a white K-X (which was my first Pentax DSLR) but didn't use it as much because the K-5 was much more useful in many ways. At any rate, I sold the K-X and picked up a white K-01 mainly for its video capability which I find superior to the K-5's plus its focus peaking feature has allowed me to use older manual focus lenses with ease. I also find the K-01 to be a better companion to the X10 than the K-5 when I go on street photography shoots. Overall, I am quite happy with my new "Stormtrooper" and it slots nicely between the K-5 and the X10.

Enjoy your K-X. I've taken many nice photos with my "Stormtrooper" and kit lens/Sigma 70-300 mm zoom lens combo for almost three years before I recently upgraded to the K5. Welcome!

Hi. I'm new to the forum but not new to Pentax. I had a K1000 back in the 80s when I was a kid and came back to Pentax a few years ago with the KX. Now I'm hooked. :)
