Hello,
first I apologize for my bad english.
The last and surely best Pentax DSLR I did own was the K-r. I began frequently using the display instead of the eyepiece viewinder. But there were issues like slow picture refreshing, missing auto focus, a loud noise probably from the parts keeping up the mirror, high power consumption etc.
Last year I selled the Pentax digital gear and looked for something smaller, lightweight and discreet, less eye-catching. I ended up getting a Fuji X-A1 mirrorless, a kit zoom and a 27mm pancake lens. It's all fine but I have to admit completing a Fuji system is costly (for example real wide angle, macro, fast zooms) or impossible. Aside from that I'm missing the feeling of holding something substantial in my hands.
Therefore I'm considering returning to Pentax all the more as there are some interesting new DA lenses.
My "new" Pentax must not be a top of the line one. I even consider getting a second-hand K-30 or K-50. But it must have a usable Live View function, better than the one in the K-r.
Which would you advise has the best LV?

Hello,
how can I find out how many releases my (second hand) K10D has done until now, how often it has been fired? Is the picture number a reliable evidence?

I agree with ogl.
I don't own a K-01 nore I had it ever in hands. My K10D is too bulky and I don't want to go back to the K100D although is a fine camera in its class. The K-01 seems not to save bulk like it could.
Change brand to get a mirrorless with interchangeable lenses? Fuji X-E1 is too expensive even second hand and I don't like the control feeling. Ricoh GXR? I didn't try it, but changing lens together with image sensor is an expensive luxury.
I come from the old school film-SLR edge and like their feeling, therefore I would like a mirrorless with more dedicated control buttons and wheels and less empty space. The described-imaginated K-02 seems to meet my taste.

Hi,
I intend to replace my Pentax DSLR with a APS-C mirrorless and I think Samsung NX is a good proposal enabling me to go on using my PK (M, A, FA and DA lenses).
I would like to ask two questions about this adaptors:
1) In the desription of one adaptor on Ebay it says "suitable for NX cameras except NX100". Do you think this restriction is valid for the other adaptors too?
2) Is using Pentax M-Lenses and metering with them more convenient than the story with the green button on Pentax DSLRs?

Hello from Karlsruhe, Germany!
I'm a 46 years old boy who likes picturing mainly buildings and urban landscapes, but natural landscapes and my children as well. I've been a regular lurker in the lens database for the last two years.
I came to Pentax 7 years ago, when I got my death fathers 30 years old (but like new) MX and sold my former gear (Minolta Dynax 600si, mostly used manually).
Two years ago I bought my first digital camera, a second hand K100Dsuper, intending to use my fathers old M-lenses. The problems and restrictions are well known, so I use now a DA 16-45mm f/4, a FA 28-105mm f/4-5,6, a DA 35mm f/2,4 and an A 50mm f/1,4.
I like the lens database, because I can find seriious user's reviews helping me choosing a (mostly second hand) lens.
