Thanks for the quick response! One issue I haven't seen raised in the many threads on Grey Market items here on the forums is this.. If I end up with a grey market Macau camera, can I have the warranty taken care of in Macau? Or does the grey definition hold true there as well since I didn't buy it there??

RytherCamera has the K-5 II here: Pentax K-5 II Camera Body Only
I know the Yelp ratings for them suck, but it seems like they would at least notify me if I was getting Macau or HK market stuff.....right?!

Whatever happenend with this? Did it arrive, any issues with the seller? There are still a couple of great deals listed for under 800 bucks on amazon. Wondering if I should pull the trigger too. My k-r is having shutter issues (double firing, getting locked open, etc.. and I think it may not be worth it to get it fixed.

Thanks for the welcome, and furryurry for the advice.
I forgot to mention that while I'm from the US and my home address is still there, I'm currently working in rural S.E. Asia. Which means whenever I'm outdoors shooting I'm either in potentially rainy weather or, in the dry season, windy and dusty weather. So, I'm also quite interested in WR lenses and eventually upgrading to either the K-5 or K-30 for the weather sealing. Everything I buy is also balance by a tight budget and a new baby in the house :)
I was under the impression that the Pentax limiteds are, while not weather sealed, much better constructed and less subject to the harsh conditions as the DA(L) line...like the DA35mm. What do you think? Is it safe to use the 40mm LTD outside in dusty and or rainy situations; or, am I going to really regret that?!
Thanks again,

Hello Pentax Forum,
Just thought I'd drop a line to introduce myself and my photographic interests. I've been into photography more seriously for about two years now. I'm currently using a K-r with an 18-135mm lens. I'm hoping to buy a prime lens soon and start experimenting with that...although I can't decide between the following:
Pentax DA 35
Pentax 40mm ltd
or one of Pentax 50mm's
I'm firstly interested in indoor low-light situations, but need to do more experiments with different focal lengths to see what I actually want the most. I've also never shot on the K-r with an aperture larger than the 3.5 on my 18-135....so I don't have hands-on experience to know how large I want/need to go. For instance, is 2.8 large enough, or will I only be truly happy with the 1.4 on the fa50mm
Anyway, I'm not really asking for advice as this isn't the place. Just thought I'd put down my present decisions for posterity :)
Cheers!
