Good almost morning,
I am enjoying the K-30 and the wheel configuration is driving me nuts and I can't figure out how to switch the wheels on the K-30.
I want the rear wheel to adjust shutter and the from wheel my aperture.
Can someone please walk me through this.
I like having my index finger on the shutter and changing shutter speeds with my index finger slows down my shooting flow when I was at an event over the weekend.

I'm a long time Oly user from the OM-1 to the E500, E510, E1, E3 and recently sold my Pen EP3 for my Pentax K-30.
I can tell you one thing as a long time Oly digital user. I miss the Olympus colors. I love that 6400 is usable for print and 12800 is fine for wen use if metering is spot on.
The K-30 has a loud shutter and is larger and the Pen is a better street photography camera. As I do ren faires I wanted a weather sealed system and access to the old Pentax manual lenses as well as an affordable weather sealed system.
The both have their pro's and I will most likely get another pen as a backup or an OMD EM5 in a few years. However I am quite enjoying my K-30.
I cleaned my old E-1 and E-3 in the sink after a ren faire with running water and the 12-60 on it.
Once I can figure out the control wheels as I want the shutter speed control on the thumb wheel I'd prefer this over my old Nikon D3 and Canon 5D mkII

6400 is very usable. Will take more pics tomorrow and is a real world setting around Ventura, CA

Hi there everyone,
I am getting a K30 having sold my Olympus setup and need some lenses.
Prices is under 300 and used is fine.
Auto focus that I can go manual if needed is ideal.
I need 1 WR lens for renaissance faires and outdoor events in bad climates.
I need 1 fixed focal length prime about 75-100 mm under f2 for portrait
I need a wide that goes wider than 14 for nature
I need 1 lens for indoor sports like jr. college basketball (Must be Auto Focus and manual)
I would love to have a fisheye lens
I also would love a 35 or a 50mm prime.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

Good almost morning,
I'm Caitlin and I am a long time photographer starting with the Olympus OM-1 when I was 8 years old with 8 lenses and I have shoot Canon and Nikon full frames and always seem to go back to Olympus. However I have always loved shooting Pentax and love to borrow them when I can. I just love some of those old SMC Pentax primes and am wanting to go to a Pentax K30 and an Olympus E-3 set up.
I shoot renaissance faires, conventions and have shot wedding all with Pentax, Olympus, Nikon and Canon and each has their strength and weakness in various areas and I hope to use the K30 for my main and Olympus for extreme contrast work as I love the lack of DR with the smaller sensor. It makes the mid-tones super crisp.
I need a weather sealed camera and am not going to the Oly OMD EM5 for the reasons of I want to have native use of older lenses and having loved other Pentax from the *st and the K200 as well as the classic workhorse the K2 I want to make the Pentax my home.
I am selling my Olympus Pen EP3 with 2 primes on ebay for under 700 to find my K30.
