As i see it the pentax smc 50 f4 is very very close to the el-nikkor so i think it is a way better solution than the 50 1.7. thanks baro-nite for all your help

is the SMC Pentax-M 50mm F4 better than 50 1.7 for reversing? sharpness i mean.

if that smc pentax 28mm 3.5 is that good than i think i will wait a little longer for it....maybe someone will sell it :) in the mean time i will try the 50 1.7 i will get tomorrow

Well i hope the M50 f1.7 is sharp enough because i already order it. Now for a 28mm but i still don't know what, i will search on the forum for old posts. Here is my website if you would like to see what i did till now with 65mm extension tubes and 55mm macro lens atached to it normal (not reversed) extended to the max 1:2. But i want more :)

Thank you, i made an order for the M50 1.7 now i have to find a 28mm (unfortunatly i can't find any k28 3.5 for sale), and yes i have made some photos beyond 1:1 but i want more :) beside the viewfinder is a little black f8 isn't a good aperture for reverse macro?

ps. until now i have found to buy a Sigma 28mm F2.8 Mini-Wide Macro and a Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 28mm 1:3,5. What do think about these? How is the sharpness?

Hello, i am new to this forum and i wanted your opinion about something. My favorite subject is macro photography and i made quite a few good ones with an old nikon ai lens. But now i want to try the reversed lens macro tehnique and i wanted to ask you what old pentax lenses are best for this. I would like a 50mm and a 28mm sugestion. The 2 top qualities i am looking is very low CA or none and very very sharp lens. The price is not so much of a problem, i just want quality. Thank you in advance. :)
