I’m thinking of getting a KP and have a quick question for any owners.
I’m curious what the max magnification is when in live view, specifically with a manual focus lens?
I have a K-01 and the max magnification is 6x which makes it difficultto obtain specific focus with my 28mm and 35mm Taks.
I’m hoping the KP allows for more magnification in live view for thisissue. It wouldn’t be a deal breaker if it doesn’t, just curious.
Thanks in advance for the help.

FastStone also has a setting under the RAW tab in the Settings dialog (F12 on Windows, or Menu>Settings>Settings then RAW tab) where you can select whether FS will show the embedded JPEG or the actual RAW file.

Quite a few versions back, both Rawtherapee and Photivo wouldn't read the embedded color profile in my K-01 raw files (dng) and would default to a not terrible, but not good, Adobe standard profile unrelated to the K-01.
What I did was to download Adobe's DNG Profile Editor 1.0.4, and have it open a K-01 DNG file. Without making any changes in the profile editor I would then save the profile as a .dcp file. Then I used this DCP to ICC camera profile converter to convert the .dcp profile from Adobe's editor into an ICC color profile which RawTherapee and Photivo were able to use.
Pulled this into some raw editing templates and it works quite well.
Hope this might help.

@LeRolls, I've got to second jake14mw's post. It's been a pleasure watching your work increase in quality over some time now. You obviously work hard at it, and it really shows. Of course, your subject matter in this thread is easy on the eyes to begin with, but your dedication to getting many elements right is impressive. Very nice work!

Nice dng to play with, alamo5000. Most of the K1 photos make me wish I could get one. Following is resized to 1200 on the long side, so a lot of wonderful detail in the original is now gone, but the DR was fun to play with.

While I agree with falconeye on many things, the famous line from Shakespeare's King Lear just doesn't work in metric:
"Ay, every inch a king."
Would this now be: Ay, every 2.54 cm a King, or, Ay, every 25.4 mm a King.
Just doesn't roll off the tongue the same way, or so I'm told.
But when it comes to measurement beyond literature, the metric system is superior.

I know this thread is a little old, but if you haven't had any success in finding someone to work on your Agfa you might give this guy a try.
Ken Ruth - Bald Mountain main1
The site is sort of 1.0ish, but it seems he works on quite a range of older cameras.

I'm about to embark down the road of digitizing decades of slides and negatives.
I have a F 100/2.8 and I'm just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction with regards to what product, or technique, to hold the film/slide assuming illumination from a flash.
Thanks in advance!!

Samy's has the AA adapter in stock for the K-30. Or so their website claims: All Products
They are located at: 1090 Bryant Street
San Francisco, CA 94103 Telephone: 415-621-8400
I would suspect they have the charger also. Give them a call.

The K-01 does not have TAV on the mode dial. TAV is only available through auto iso in M mode, and exposure comp. is not available in the K-01 TAV mode except through exposure bracketing.

I got tired of waiting for full-frame from Pentax, so last year I replaced all the original crop windows in my house with Full Frame Pella windows. Now, if I step back far enough, I can see my whole backyard without panning.

Nice photo. I don't mind the monochromatic aspect myself, I think it works well.
You might want to think about flipping both the horizontal and vertical axes. Moving the greypoint slightly to the right helps a bit also.

Yeah, unfortunately TAv mode on the K-01 doesn't allow for exposure compensation.

"Looks like trash being pulled up in the wave"
I'm not refering to the small "stick" to the left of my top most arrow. I'm refering to the long vertical line that imposes itself even over the white of the breaking surf.
