Also, the K-5 iis pics have cured me of the "need" to pursue a FF for utmost photographic quality.

Hello folks! Nice to make your acquaintance. I've been into photography off and on since the mid 90's, when I started shooting my world with a Minolta X-9. My Minolta accompanied me to far off places like Key West and Santa Fe, and I loved it and its small army of lenses dearly. When film photography became too expensive (monetarily and spatially) to shoot, I abandoned the hobby for a time. My interest in the craft was piqued once again when a began seeing pictures of and from the Panasonic Lumix DMC LC1--which, I never owned, but it opened my eyes to what the future of digital photography promised. Around 6 years ago, I received a terrible (in today's standards) Kodak EasyShare Z710 as a Christmas gift. It made me hungry to shoot again on a real camera. I held off on buying an SLR again, for a time, so that my wife and I could get used to life together and how expensive that can be for newlyweds. Last year the temptation was too much for me, and I ordered my first DSLR, a Canon T2i. It was a nice introduction to what photography has become, but once I had tested the waters, the call of the full frame was not far behind. I sold the T2i a few months back with the intent to get a 5D Classic. However, as time began to pass, things came up, the T2i money was spent, and the 5D was losing its luster. I turned to Fuji, who's X100 had originally been the strongest motivation to get back into photography (but the limitations of a single lens has always made me wary), yet the Trans-X sensors problems in RAW sent me shopping again. I wound up here after seeing shots from the K-5 (and now the K-5 iis...yum!), and find the temptation is at the boiling point.
I'm here for answered questions, to find new friends, and...perhaps...to settle into a new system.
