My tip...
Always check your camera settings before taking your first for the day.
I have lost some good shots as the ISO was to high or shutter speed or aperture was set wrong
and the shot was ruined by being way over/under exposed.
So always check your settings first. :)

Took this photo when on holiday in NZ visiting family.
Taken in bright midday sun so used a polarizer to help reduce the harshness of the sunlight.
Great day out with family and enjoyed the tractor-trailer ride out to the gannet colony along the beach.

thanks for all the welcomes.

this is the first ever forum I have joined on the internet and need some advise about posting pics as all the threads about posting pics is a bit confusing regarding size, members pics, guest pics, galleries and albums etc, so...

1, where do I post them for general viewing.
2, camera specific (k-r)
3, topic specific

or do I just go to a thread and post a comment and a pic?

not sure if i'm clear at all but any advice is appreciated.

After lurking around this site for a short while I decided to join up and participate.
I've learned a few thing from this site I look forward to learning more on how to get the
most out of my k-r and manual lenses I've recently purchased.
