Hello and thanks for the feed back and good information.
Film or digital..Not something I will start to comment on.
I will shoot film in the old camera.
But, if I am NOT able to get a flash.....A slide film that will be better for that use, indoor shooting with no flash...?
Have ordered 4 rolls of Fuji Sensia 400 to test it out.

Hello all.
I am soon be a father, so slides is on my mind.
After looking at slides from the time I was a kid, I like to shoot slides of my kids.
The Spotmatic I have no longer have its flash.
To get a flash, what is recommended?
To shoot flash indoors, what slide film is recommended?
Maybe I can get away without the flash....maybe...But, to be on the safe side I like to get one.

Hello all.
I am new to SLR and the use of film.
Have a old Pentax Spotmatic I have started to use.
But, what ISO/ASA to use? Right now I have some old 400 I am using. I find the photos ok,, but as I told you all, I have just started with these camera.
Is it a big difference from 100 to 400 film outdoors? Is a 200 a good all round?
Or will I not be able to spot the difference at my stage?

Hi and thank you for helping me. I need it.
So, SPOTMATIC, got it:)
I was out today, winter snow, blue clear sky and bright sun, guess 400 film. was VERY wrong...It was what I got.
But, outdoors, in order to adjust the meter in the middle position, I had to put the shutter to B.......Any ideas?
Indoors and in the woods, more dark/shadows, I was able to adjust it "right" when I just the shutter set to 250.
What was I doing wrong?
Thanks for helping.

Hello all.
I have got my Dad`s old camera, one he did buy in Japan in 1968, it is a SLR Pentax Sportmatic Asahi.
That was the camera he did use when I was a kid, lot of great photos was taken with it, quality speaking....I am not THAT good looking...:o
So, now I like to take the camera and use it, getting to be Dad myself now so it will be my heirloom so to speak.
But, some help is needed, Where you set the shutter speed, goes from 1 to 1000, then there is a gap, and then a green letter B. What is that for?
So, next question, witch film to use, 200, 400 or?
Thank you all for looking. All help/tip is welcome.
A good sunday all.
I am going out to test these "new" camera today:)
