I just mounted the o-gps 1 to my K3-3 and tested it and in the tools menu the gps is also greyed out. But if you mount the gps to your camera turn it on and wait until the camera indicates the gps is tracking take a photo and review it you should see the icon on the left hand middle of the screen indicating gps data recorded...

Have you looked at the Ricoh Worldwide not US website? If not, I suggest doing so. Find the explore page and there is a whole section devoted to custom image finishing touches...

so I took a peek at your fb photos and if you are doing that with a old dslr and dal lenses snag a K3 II about 850.00 and the 16-85 as Voice of Reason suggested and go from there...

no really...and this proves bears really do...
But here are a couple of big concept items.
1. and I noticed another poster commented on flat Florida and you commented on crappy Jersey and I think to myself Connecticut is boring but we have to figure out interesting things to photograph. You have the Jersey shore...cityscapes...street...etc. also take a look at what is a couple hour drive.
2. You dont take a picture...you make a picture...some famous photographer said that and I am starting to get it...you find a subject you find interesting and then work it for the right lighting...best angle,,,elements in the composition...think out your photo.

maybe I should be. That could get expensive...lucky I have my trusty 55-300mm...was amusing myself with the seagull waiting for the Parade of Sail at New London Ct to start...

I am opportunistic...when the wife told me she goes by a Osprey nest on the way to work I thought why not...how about some cc from Rupert and Normhead and you other birder folk who really get some nice images...

this is my local Connecticut Valley Railroad....they have various train rides throughout the year...this is the Thomas Tank runs...Thomas is at the rear of the cars and when they come back it looks like he is pulling the train....

not a birder but my hats off to you that are...K3 with sigma 120-400mm handheld...I prefer airplanes myself...

I have a lx that i am testing out right now..I do know that if you get a copy that requires cla the famous Eric quoted me I believe 200 dollars for cla for starters and I think he does MX for around 50...

I have a 263 AT which I like for the weight and the height...I replaced the ballhead with a acratech and all I can say is wow...although my pocket book said ouch...I also have a Sirui when weight is a factor
