1. Will they make compact camera (with 1 inch sensor perhaps ?)
2. How they see the APS-C market nowadays with aggresive and rapid growing tech in the Mirrorless counterpart ? Will Pentax make one ?
3. How do they feel about Fuji GFX? Will they respond with superior product ?

Yes, but pentax has also benefit in the other area, which you fail to see it. Anyway, about new Pentax AF system, nobody knows it in this forum. As I said before, even if they have new AF system in their new DSLR body, I am not really sure you are going to buy it. You will just be dissappointed, either by the performance or price, or both.

Indeed. If anyone really want advanced AF system such as D500, then get ready to spend 2000 USD for one body. But I doubt many Pentaxian would do.
The only solution for OP is upgrading his beloved K-5II to the recently introduced Pentax KP and see himself the AF improvement.

Forget about DPReview gear of the year, which Pentax K-1 was not even nominated.
In Japan, Pentax K-1 has been receiving very positive appreciations, and it is voted by the readers as gear of the year :).

This has shown strong support for Pentax, and hopefully this will encourage Ricoh Imaging to release more interesting products, such as new DSLR, or even mirrorless, and many more lenses.

That Verstappen video is really cool. So the GoPro is equipped with sensor to measure the speed, and etc ?
I guess Ricoh Theta need something not only 4K video, but also some nice features such us GoPro

Number sold doesnt matter, Ricoh is happy with the sales mean K-1 is well accepted.
I don't want to see cheaper version of K-1, not this time, not in the future either.
Lenses are more important now. From wide to tele with affordable price, high quality optics, and bring-able. That's it.

I don't understand why every time Norm is joining into the discussion, it is like I am reading Ken Rockwell saying that the best camera is the one with you, the best DSLR ever made is D40, and etc, etc.

Norm, this tread the OP asked about the lens performance when it will be used on K-1, and the FPS. But then suddenly you threw a picture taken with your Optio 80w, saying how sharp it is. And you want to drag the discussion that Fullframe sensor won't make better picture. (As you said: I doubt it. 36 MP is oodles of overkill for landscape).
You seemed to be irritated when OP saying:.

When people want to buy better gear, more MPx for their purpose, why do you feel it is so wrong? Why do you even have to throw picture taken with your Optio 80w, saying that it is great (for you) ?! Of course you can print your image, even Apple promoted that Iphone can be used to print as big as billboards (Apple extends ?Shot on iPhone 6? campaign to billboards, newspapers, magazines and more).
What is great enough for you, maybe not great enough for others. You unconsciously has hijacked this thread for your own enjoyment.
Aha, about KR, I think I read it somewhere around 2009 that he said so. I can't figure it out when he said "the best camera is the one with you" from his crappy website. But you can try to read this: Your Camera Doesn't Matter.

I actually never use USB cable to transfer image or video. Just take out the card, and insert it to computer.

You were disappointed with your K-X, and now you are disappointed again with Pentax K-3. So you are double disappointed in the last 3 years.
Perhaps you need a camera with fixed lens such as Ricoh GR, and like everyone else suggestion, please post some pics so we can give a better suggestion.

I don't demand too much on him. He is pro photographer and it is not too difficult just to post photos. If I see what he posted here, he is more like a marketing guy. Well, nothing bad about that. I remember the last Pentax ambassador, Benjamin Kanarek who is now shooting with Nikon, but still keeping Pentax for video work. Benjikan's work is very influential, and inspiring too. I want to see Kenspo with his pentax shines brighter than what he had done with Nikon.
You can't influence and convincing an adult with talks only, seeing pics more believing, and he made promise too :o Right Kenspo ? :)

Uuurrgh, If those specs are true, they only remake K-S1 with additional Wifi and articulated lcd, and of course WR. K-S2 should have AF from K-3, 24Mpx, and better FPS.
