I brew my own, but I'm always happy to open the taps.

Cheers guys.
Nice to hear there are a few other Aussies in here as well.
I'll get around to posting some images eventually, but first port of call is to review all my lenses. The reviews on here have been the biggest factor in my lens purchases, so it only seems fair to give back in that respect.

Hey everyone.
I've been lurking around here for quite a while now, so I figure it's about time I actually started interacting.
My name is Ryan. I'm currently 28 years old and living in Ballarat, about 100km west of Melbourne, Australia.
My dad is a pretty great photographer, so I grew up around cameras all my life. It must have pained him to see me choose Pentax over his beloved Nikon, but I've always gone for the best bang-for-buck when it comes to my tools and technology, so for me it was a no brainer.
I shoot with a K-30 and occasionally an old MG which, admittedly, I only bought because it came with a couple of beautiful old lenses.
For the most part I'm either pointing my camera at either my kids or a thunderstorm. Some of my mates think I have an eye for it and have asked me to do everything from weddings to maternity and baby photos for them. I have to admit it's a nice compliment, but I've never asked to be paid for it. I'm no pro by any stretch of the imagination, and don't plan on being one, so at the end of the day I'm just in it for fun.
By day I alternate between graphic design and driving trucks (because all Australians drive trucks), and when I get home I'm husband to a wonderful wife, and father to 2 awesome boys, with a 3rd later this year.
Other than photography, I spend what little down time I have playing video games, brewing strange beer, playing music, and generally just trying to enjoy my time on this planet. So far it seems to be working out fairly well.
So that's me.
Anyone who manages to find my ramblings interesting is welcome to check out my photos on Google+, and add me to your circles if you so desire. Just a warning though; while I try to be respectful in public forums, the language on my personal page can get a bit blue.
I look forward to getting to know you guys.
Cheers
