Apparently this car is a 1932 Oldsmobile that had been parked in the bush and left to rust decades ago. It was hauled out this past spring (April-ish 2017) and is a lawn ornament now. The tree growing through the roof is rooted in the car; not a existing tree growing through it.

I love today's auto everything cameras; but sometimes old school simplicity has its own charm. I really like getting out with my $25 flea market Spotmatic + 35mm/f3.5 Takumar; really basic, one manual only body, one lens and 24 frames of film - that's all. Maybe a polarizing filter, too. Making every shot count is great way to build skills.

I have bought three lens from Japanese eBay sellers: a Tamron 28-200 walkaround, a Zeiss 25/2.8 and a Zeiss 50/1.4. In all three cases the lenses were better than described (the Zeisses were mint) and shipped promptly. I have no hesitation at all to buy from Japan. As for British sellers, I haven't any experience with them.
