K20D in the studio

Color and contrast in K20 make the k10 look weak. K10's Facial images look rather pale in your comparison. Same Lenses for each?

Better than I'd expect for high ISO, you spoil that dog. I want to trade up for a k20 now.

That's what i thought he was doing too. Has that Sloth taking a dump expression of having been constipated for 3 weeks. Nope, he was just being a goofy mutt.

This is my sister's dog Shadow. I used the Burn tool on eyes hoping for a more natural look than flash burned eyes. I didn't intend to take a pic of the dog, I was taking a photo of damage on the entertainment center (where the other dog chewed it) and he just decided to get in front of me like he wanted to pose. Anyway, thought it might get a chuckle from one you.

LOL, it's going to be one of those head to head polls. Thanks for lending me your eyes. It is softer on the eyes, next to flamingos parrots do have some bright colors crippling my judgment.

So you feel the face is the deciding factor? Appreciate the feedback, I had taken these zoo pics almost year ago and just now got to process them. Never worked with DNG's before.

MEGADETH!!! thanks for the reply. It's weird i like the head of the first one, the rest of the second. I'm not too sure what the true to life colors were. I plan to use the one that gets the most votes, at least as a guide for further editing.

or

Does this look right or did I push the colors too far? I use a laptop and the backlight makes colors seem brighter than they are especially towards the bottom of the screen.

What's the big deal about live-view?

Suffering for the Art is part of the experience (getting dirty). Aside from having to put the camera between forking points or in an entwined mess of barbed wire live view is pointless or more of a viable option while using a remote at a glance distance. That's just my own personal preference.

Live view would drain the battery faster. It has some uses, but there are other improvements that should be more of a priority as features. Peter V makes some great points.

Yes, I've done the barbed wire thing back in my film cam days.

Only problem I have with sending it in is that I won't have a physical address as I'll be a passenger in a semi, no sense paying rent for a place I be at. That and shipping might be a bit of a stretch at the moment. It's never anything simple huh.

I've barely gotten to use my K10D since I've got it but when I have, I've noticed that as well. My warranty goes out in about a month. I'm not sure what to do with it. I mean I love the Camera, I just hate having to crop tilt and crop again to get a straight image.

I only have a pancake lens at the moment. DA 40 f2.8 , it's nice and makes the camera compact enough to store with a lens on it for a quick grab. I get crisp clear images with it. This parrot is a high res. crop taken with the lens, no flash. http://www.ohsnapped.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/parrot3.jpg

and a close up of a flower http://www.ohsnapped.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/yellowflowers.jpg

I used exaggerated sharp in SilkyPix and it made a faint outline over the top of the flower which isn't there without the exaggerated sharp edit. But you can still get a feel for the lens' power. I hope this helps.

Is there a way to achieve this?

The first one in SILKYPIX there is a free version of the software, there is a TOY CAMERA setting that gives this nostalgic look to the over all pic colors and vignetting . As for the borders Mike's suggestion works.

2nd photo, look up a tutorial for photoshop on Grunge Effects.

3rd,
desaturated with sponge tool combined with a watercolor/color pencil filter??
