Right then, just got back from a day out with the Q10 and the swapped 01 prime, all was fine bar one unexpected shut-down, solved by taking the lens off and putting it on again.
I haven't updated the firmware for my original lens (but nor was it updated on my friend's lens, go figure). I'll try that (wow, I didn't even know you could update FW for a lens! There you go.)
I'll check the FW versions of the primes (once someone tells me how to do that! Crikey.) I'll also denude the camera of its battery and whatever else I can take out and let it have a nap for a little while.

Both cameras were updated recently but the Q hasn't been updated with the version released the other day.

Right then, my friend's prime works on my Q10. My prime works on my friend's Q. My prime doesn't work on my Q10. Discuss....

Ok, we just did an experiment here. Swapped lenses and it turns on fine with the 02. Put the prime back on and it didn't work. Tried the prime on a friend's Q, and it works fine on that. Put it back on my Q10, doesn't work! Weird combo of my camera and my prime shuts it down. Now trying my friend's prime on my camera, will report.

Hi all, my hardly used Q10 is shutting down immediately after I turn it on. It gets as far as a half second of dust removal, then goes blank. I've put in three fully charged batteries to no avail. Is there a reboot I can try, or is it dead? Ugh. About to go away and need my little camera. Any ideas? Thank you, Pentaxians.
