In my K3 and K3ii I just press the OK button while in Live View to zoom in...
Edit: I just realized you are talking about the Image Sync App. As it is not available for my cameras, I'm afraid I'm not familiar with it.

I was checking out the Japanese Pentax site and discovered that an update to DCU5 was available.
The new version is 5.9.5 uploaded on October 18th.

Changes to V5.9.5 from V5.9.4

[18. October 2022] Digital Camera Utility 5 (Version 5.9.5) Windows Updater

[Improve from previous Versions]
  • When printing JPEG images with the image finish set to "Monotone" in the custom image and the toning color set to cold or warm in the detail parameters, the colors would become darker.

[Corrections from previous Versions]
  • Corrected --- Overexposure when trying to develop a K-1/K-1 Mark II image with a reversal film finish.

  • Corrected --- When frame-by-frame advance is performed in the current folder image list where a check-marked image file exists, only the check-marked image is subject to frame-by-frame advance when the image file with the check mark is reached.

Problem with DCU and MX-1

Hey guys! I have noticed that when I open my photos in DCU just for visualization (Browser tab), they display well and similar to what I see in the camera's screen. BUT, when I go to edit in the "Laboratory", the chosen photo looks way overexposed (around two stops). Once I correct the exposure, I have to fiddle with the Dodging settings too.

And I have noticed that this inconsistency doesn't happen with all the photos but with some of them and I'm still trying to see what triggers this misbehavior.

I believe this started in version 5.9.3 (I could be wrong), and continues with the latest version 5.9.4 version of DCU.

Have you noticed something similar guys?

Yes, thanks. I'm between a V1 or a V860III now 'cause I like I can mount them on the hot shoe if I need to and get all the features like TTL, etc.
Merry Christmas!!!

Godox firmware update for Pentax compatibility?

Hi Joe. I've stumbled upon a Godox accesory kit that may fit also your Pentax speedlight so you can also enjoy the magnetic attachements available for the V1 on the Pentax. It's the "Godox AK-R1 Round Head Accessories Kit with S-R1 Flash Head Adapter" and is compatible with rectangular speedlite heads.

Or you can get only the Godox S-R1 Flash head adapter" and make use of the V1 accesories you already have. Just an idea... :)

Thank you Inkista I really appreciate the time you took to write this detailed response!

And thank you Steve and Joe for your prompt help, responses and suggestions too!

So, it seems that V1-P and v860iii are my options. BTW, V860iii is now available on eBay shipped from China.

Thanks again guys!

Hi Steve and thanks so much for your prompt reply!
If I understand correctly, an upgraded TT685C will have P-TTL and HSS when attached directly to my camera, right?
Sorry to bother you but I want to be sure. English is not my main language and sometimes I don't get 100% the meaning of a phrase

If TT685C works then I'll save money as my other option is getting a v860iii-P that is more expensive.

Hi. I currently own a TT350P, it works very good but I've been in situations where I need more flash power. So recently I read in the Godox official website, that the latest firmware for TT685C will make it "compatible with Godox wireless Pentax X system".

Does it mean that the upgrade will turn a TT685-C into a more powerful TT350P? With P-TTL and HSS available when attached to the hot shoe of my K-3II?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

K3II sensor dust removal failure?

Hi. My K-3ii used to do a tiny whistle sound when removing dust, but not anymore. I can't hear it now.

I have had my 17 years old nephew -that has way better hearing than I do nowadays- to try to hear the sound, but he can't either.

So, I believe the dust removal feature has officially stopped working and as I don't have a technical service in country, I have gotten used to it.

I remember a member of this forum even recorded the sound and shared the audio file with all of us.

Exposure with Godox TT350P

Hi! I want to ask users of Godox TT350P about the exposure with this new flash.
I own a Vivitar DF-383-PEN that is P-TTL, BUT it overexposes by +1.3 to +1.7 (when shooting directly at the subject) according to my tests. It doesn't happen with the little Pentax AF-200FG that has a more precise and pleasant exposure.
A friend of mine has the Shanny and it overexposes too.
So, my question is: how is the Godox TT350P in this regard?

Thank you so much in advance for your replies!

Why I will buy a K-3 III

Yes sure. K-1II in studio should be superb! A couple of times a month I do horse racing and the 4fps of the K-1 holds me. My K-3II is almost 9fps and really excels.
Maybe it's time to have both bodies or wait a little for K-3III.. cheers!

That's because I'm working in studio doing fashion and product photo and I need the most advanced features. They are present in K-1, so I should probably consider one in the future.

4. Better/fast autofocus in live view
5. An articulating screen would be great for studio work too.

For how long can Flu-Card work continuously?

Thank you Adam. I have 6 batteries just in case and also some months ago purchased the AC adapter, so I'm prepared :)
BTW, I own a K-3II, so I think I can't use any app using Ricoh's SDK... at least, yet.

It's a pitty that the APS-C flagship camera lacks of tether capabilites. I'm using K-3II professionally and lately I miss this feature, specially when the people of the ad agency want the photos as they are being taken. In this case I shoot a bunch of products and then pass the card to one of the guys.
Thank you again!

This week I purchased a Manfroto 190XPRO3 tripod and a 3 way MHXPRO head :)

I'm doing product photography and this combo I'm sure will work great. Specially for the horizontal bar that will allow me to take zenital plane.

Hi! I'd like to know for how long may I use Flu-Card continuously. I know it gets hot but for my job, I'm going to need the card to be connected and tethered for around 7 hours a day. Will it be a problem? is Flu Card made for this kind of hard work?

I've Googled, read the card manual but couldn't find any information on this matter.

Thank you very in advance for your help!

I've just found that Kenneth moved to Panasonic Lumix S1R. Kenneth himself numbered the reasons why he left Pentax: "AF, buffer, slower development of lenses then they told me, third party gear + + And of course video":
